- I got the final editing done today, and here's part 3... starting from Storslett, down to Gratangen, exit Norway via Bjørnfjell, into Sweden... The weather took a drastic turn, and made driving somewhat more demanding...

I used to drive a small refrigerated truck to pick up frozen foods and I got a lot of samples. Do you ever get some salmon from any of these distributors ?
Hi Mark 😊 no, a little souvenir from the places we load and offload in, are very seldom now a day..
I remember back when I first started this job.. 26 years ago, we often got ie a box of grapes, when loading in Greece.. But over time, this has gotten more and more seldom..

Thank you very much Andreas 😊👍 in Norway it is mandatory with winter tires on all axles... I have studded (spiked) tires on my front and my traction axle.
Nice video. I had also a chance to work in Sweden as a truck driver for 2 years. My winter tales in Norway were very stressful, as for a person from central Europe, but it was beautiful and I miss it so much!

Thank you very much Tommy 😊👍 well, each of our Scandinavian countries, has their very own unique features, and Norway certainly was blessed with the dramatic sceneries 😊 but I think both Sweden, Finland and Denmark has their unique and amazing places to.. Those in Denmark are just harder to film, when driving in a truck, because you have motorways, that will quickly take you from a to b 😂 and boring motorways usually goes through the boring most places 😉
@@Slipse Agreed. And I find the mostly flat landscape of Denmark actually quite appealing whenever driving there - "Öppna Landskap" as Ulf Lundell sang about for lots of years ago.... :-)

Great video. Why did you have to stop at the Swedish border. I thought that in the EU you can drive straight from one country to another. I thought that was the purpose of EU. Of course being for US I'm pretty uninformed on these matters. Thank again
Thank you Nelson 😊👍 Norway isn't a member of the EU, so we have to custums, when going in or out of the country... They were the smarter ones, to stay out of that club 😉😂👍

Great video's. Amazing scenery . Just wondering in part 1 what was the man scanning with his phone when you were going on the ferry. Would it be something to do with the ticketing system
Thank you Jim 😊👍 and you are spot on, I have a little box sitting in my windscreen, for automatic payments for road tolls, and it works with some of the ferries too, he just scans with his phone, and payment is done 😊

Nej helst ikke, men pkt 1 så er der jo mørkt her oppe nu ca 19 timer i døgnet, og pkt 2 så afhænger det hele af, hvornår mine læs er klar til afgang.. og hvis det feks er kl 8 om aftenen, og jeg holder med ren kiks, så er det bare afgang...

Yes and no, when driving foodstuffs, there's been no limits as such where to go, however there's been border controls, and ofc the same restrictions, with regards to distance, hygiene and such...
Some places where we would normally load or offload ourselves, we drivers are denied access, and will just stay put in the cab, while somebody else is doing the work..

Thank you Robert 😊👍 well 99 percent of truck in Europe are cab overs, due to the overall length restrictions over here.. So we have to do, with the limited space we've got.. On the plus side, we don't need as much space to get around corners 😉

How fast are you going?
Depends very much on the temperature, but I think most of the time in this video around 80km/h apart from when it was snowing hard, because my view ahead was very limited 😉👍

Yes I do, Yokohama dubbed front tires, and dubbed icegrip tires on my drive axle 😊👍 in Norway it is mandatory to have winter tires on all axles..
