I make all my own rods. I am weighting for guides right now but the next rod is a carbon fiber I rolled myself 6 foot 6 inch one piece. Painted it with automotive paint with a flex additive. Mopar electric green with metal flakes.

Are they any good videos on wrapping guides? What thread is recommended for fiberglass rod wraps?

I'm sure there are great videos out there on how to wrap. I typically use Kimono silk thread on glass rods. Silk will turn translucent when finish is applied.
