Charlestonian here. Unfortunately, there won’t be a different ship by the time others get around to watching this video. Carnival is going to pull out of the Charleston port because the city will no longer support cruises from Charleston after 2024.
Well that's really sad news!!! :( Bummer!

the wristbands for kids.. what are they for again?
Opps, I should have mentioned that in the video... children under 12 wear a wristband with their muster station on it, so in case of an emergency or if they are separated from their parents, they can be reunited.

Yes, debit is accepted.
How early should we show up to our embarkation time
I'd say 30 minutes or so before your check in time. I accidently showed up an hour and a half early and they allowed me to check in.
What if you take an Uber to port? Where do they drop you off at? Or are there shuttles to port to get onto ship?
I heard there was a different entry for uber/taxi/drop offs that would take you to the porter to check your bags and then to the check in area.
How long did it take from parking your car to actually boarding? We will be taking this same trip
About an hour or so.
So you can carry your own drinks and tumbler cups aboard?
You are allowed to carry on 12 cans of non alcoholic drinks and one 750ml bottle of wine per person, and an empty tumbler is fine.

What if you are getting dropped off by an Uber ?
You will enter at gate 1 instead of gate 2 to be dropped off.

QUESTION! This if my first cruise and we were being dropped off, not parking. Is the process different for this?
Most of it will be the same. Your driver will use a different entrance that skips the pay to park part. Everything else will be the same.
My sister and I will be going on a cruise on the 16th of September. We will be dropped off and not park. Do you know the process for drop off?
This is what I found online " Enter via Gate 2 at the intersection of
Laurens and Concord Streets. You will bypass the parking lane
and proceed directly to the luggage tent. Cruise passengers will
then proceed to the check-in location and the ship."

if the itinerary says depart at 4:00 what time do you need to be parking?
You will "check in" online about 14 days before you sailing and you will choose a boarding time. It will be between around 10:30am - 2:30pm. I would park about 30 minutes - an hour before the boarding time you choose.
