Mega Enumeration Exercise Begins in Kohima
A mega enumeration exercise is being conducted in Nagaland capital Kohima targeting residents of Kohima district and their direct descendants from the Garo, Kuki, Kachari, Mikir (Karbi), and Nepali/Gorkha communities.
The exercise aims to facilitate the issuance of High Court Certificates (HC) and Permanent Residence Certificates (PRC).
According to an official notification from Kohima DC Kumar Ramnikant, individuals from the Garo, Kuki, Kachari, and Mikir (Karbi) communities must have settled in Nagaland prior to December 1, 1963, while Nepali and Gorkha residents must have settled before December 31, 1940.
