Snacks really are a science! The tech and history behind something as simple as potato chips or goldfish is mind-blowing. Can't believe how much goes into creating these snacks we eat daily!
FD Engineering's video "Inside Food Factories: Mega Snack Production" is really fascinating! From the raw materials to the automated production process, everything makes me admire the sophistication and modernity in the food industry. What an interesting journey!
I'd hoped this might be an interesting demonstration of the technology used and not a puff piece for the industry. Given the damage these foods have done and continue to do it made me cringe.
Utz is not the #1 brand of potato chips sold in the U.S.A.! It's FRITO LAY BRAND chips sells way more chips in the u.s. than all the other u.s. brands put together.

What stabilizer is used in the peanut butter
In the U.S. the most common food stabilizer is soy lecithin

Salt is rock...
I tried the Utz brand. Too salty too much seasoning
