Yeah!! love TB 303. For anyone interested, FL Studio has a TB 303 clone named Transistor Bass Which sounds really good, been messing with it creating the "I Feel Love" bassline the other day & Will put a tutorial on TB 303 in Ableton. Now I'm gonna try this one!!!👍👍👍
Thanks a lot I was searching how to do this for month with bull shit plug in, and here it is ! And with stock plug in ! You save my money and my time !
Love the 303, got a Roland TB-3 and the behringer td-3, because the real deal is to expensive. It reminds me of growing up going to acid techno parties, love the sound, Hell yeah ;)
Your videos are incredibly helpful! Im not sure if you have already made a video on this but could we get a video on the parts and layout of a FULL HOUSE song? Length of intro, verse, build, chorus/drop, outro. It would be EXTREMELY helpful in understanding how to finish an ENTIRE song from START to FINISH on your "how to make..." videos.
@@EDMTips it is for being a copy, it's real close to the original (if not better), especially with the on board distortion which the original didn't have if I'm not mistaken, mine was slightly cheaper for the reason that it's red, seems silly having a higher price because of a color since it does exactly the same as a silver one. 😁
Absolutely love all your stuff bud, Grateful for all the content.! I wonder if you could do a tutorial on producing tracks like Worakls and n'to (Hungry Music)?. I would love to see your take as there are some unique styles in their tracks 🔊🔊
@@EDMTips Will, I have produced a track for a massive American youtuber, could be a good avenue to get some subs. Would you be amenable to help me perhaps?
Hi will, I've really been enjoying your videos. They've helped me so much. I'm very much a beginner and I'm trying to find sounds similar to a track called beluga entree by Gene on Earth. I just absolutely love all the synths used in this song. I'm trying to learn synths at the moment but I can't find anything close to the sounds. I would really appreciate any advice on how to emulate similar sounds to this track. Thanks again for creating awesome content 👍🏼
@@EDMTips Great video! Learned some good things about making a 303 in Ableton. Would you consider making a next video in this series on how to implement the Accent feature on the 303 in Ableton? It has that cool glitchy sound and I'm not sure how to replicate it, think of The Prodigy : Poison for an example of the sound I mean.
Maybe this is just a long-running EDM Tips joke that I'm missing, but "de witte" in dutch/flemish means "the white", anyway "witte' is pronounced "vit-uh", you can put "de witte"/"the white" in Google Translate for Dutch-English and it will say it correctly haha
@@EDMTips I imagine anyone serious pretending to make a 303 sounds would make an audio comparison with a real 303. In your case, I suppose the prospect must have been too embarrassing.
The Roland TB-3 sounds way better than the sound he created in this tutorial. You may replace the TB-3 with a TD-3, to save some bucks, if you want hardware. If you want a really good 303 emulation VST under $100, go with ABL3. You won't ever get as close with sound design

The kick is clipping like crazy and the master is redlining. Now, about the 303 content: Tutorials claiming to replicate the TB-303 sound with sound design are misleading. They cause aspiring producers to create bad sounding Acid lines. This is why: The TB-303 can only be accurately replicated using VSTs or hardware clones specifically designed for this task. This is because the TB-303 is not comparable to any regular synth. The following links are going more into detail. Anton Savov, developer of Venom VB-303, points out on his website, that the 303 can not be replicated by the sum of its parts: antonsavov.net/cms/projects/venom-vb-303.html And here are the original waveforms of the 303 It is also interesting how the waveforms of the original TB-303 actually look like: www.tinyloops.com/tb303/sound_vco.html Here is a list of synths I recommend to create the 303 sound. @@keithlane4705 I did not use the AcidBox VST. I watched an example video on UA-cam and did not like the sound of it. Roland's cloud VST and ABL3 are the best sounding TB-303 VSTs, followed by Phoscyon. ABL3 is the best option, when you just want to buy an amazing sounding 303 VST for a fixed price blow $100. Roland's cloud TB-303 is $150 one time purchase (you can get the Behringer TD-3 analog hardware clone for less than that) or a $30/month "Ultimate" cloud subscription, which includes access to the rest of the cloud offers. Phoscyon is very affordable. It's also often on sale. It's old and I don't like its non-resizable UI, which is not well organized and hard to read on my Laptop screen. The built-in distortion sounds really good. Though, I think that Phoscyon's plain 303 sound can't match the other two. It's not bad, but the other ones sound better to me. Then there are the two free options I mentioned, which are not easy to install or operate.
Let me know if you like these short, sharp tuts, and whether I should keep making them 👇
Would like to see some old school Trance Arps, like Johannes Heil - B2 (Min.4:30)
Of course, some great refreshers also when getting stuck in a rut knowing what to produce.
This is awesome! Next one should be how to get the 90s house organ sound with only stock plugins
