As a finish carpenter my go to vest is tiger trend and the most popular out on the field. Curious to try out the snickers vest but what’s holding me back is not having the actual hammer loop. Great vid 👍
I have to check that on out.
I just add a rubber hammer holder. I’m in the carpenters union and been a foreman for 6 years in charge of the finish side and now work for Pcl construction.
@@alaskanborn3459 Do you just use your cart for fastners?
@@unscriptedwithantonio Yes. Or if I’m doing more rough carpentry I just put bags on .
GFreat video! Really enjoyed the dope background!! I've had the Snickers work vest for shy of 3 years. As an electrical apprentice in 406, it does decent but the big puches have started to rip due to hand tools...Might make the switch to the Blaklader one.
I just got the occidental vest. It's a little heavier, but it is way more robust. It has a good amount of storage too.
Great little podcast, straight to the point and inviting, well done Antonio
Trying new things. More edits more b roll. I'm trying to improve my craft. I appreciate the support, buddy!
I've always thought a vest is a better idea than a tool belt. What I don't get is why they still keep everything near your waist instead of loading up you chest so it's out of the way when your arms swing.
Maybe it's old habits dying hard. Also, when you lean over tools and fastner tend to fall out of the chest compartment but stay put in the lower pockets.
@@unscriptedwithantonio That's a good point. I only use vests or belts when I'm on a ladder though so if I'm bending over I'm probably doing something stupid.
Blakladder sounds more bad ass though.
Yeah it does.
you use alot of terms that I've never heard of. What is "TI" work?
Tenet improvement. It's when you work on an existing building.
why didn't you get the occidental vest?
Honestly, because they didn't have any at my local lumber yard. I might buy one in the future. Just to review it for the channel.

Ok cool thanks for the video. I had never heard of "snickers".
@aab-el9bd Yeah, it's a pretty good brand. I think they make work pants too.
Occidental pro trimmer bags ftw
I'm down to check them out. I do like the sturdy material better. Maybe a possible review in the future?
My contractor said the pro trimmers were “framing bags” 🙄 so I sold them for the occidental pro vest .. it’s aight I didn’t care for the black ladder vest
