Tbh id be happy with 250 or 300 the boat will be for fun with the family im trying to make runs to like key west marvin key ect so if it can make that id be good and how much did you pay with the 300 on it and was this one the 24ft bay
@@coreyeg87 def going to need something bigger and not as flat bottom. if you want to be making trips this is not the boat. making trips in the keys you need some with a deep V that can chop right through the chop and will keep ur family safe if the day happens to be rough. These ARE NOT BOATS FOR THE FLORIDA KEYS, unless u are only planning on staying inshore. There fore make a better decision for you and your family. This is a good boat for a single youngin. not someone with a family

you would have to have a very calm down out in the ocean hence the name "lake and bay" People buy em and put huge motors on them to go fast.
