Wherever I have traveled, even obscure places like a small town in Greece or Japan, I see Sikh communities integrate so well with the local cultures. This is a unique and admirable quality that is unfortunately lacking in many other cultures in the world. The little boy reciting the famous Manipuri poem is the perfect example of this. I wish there were more people like this in the world! From a Manipuri in California
A punjabi who lived in Imphal and did my schooling there (MPS).There too many things to say but in short all I can say is Manipur is a great and Manipuris are great people with a great culture miss those days and all my friends there. Good job PTC.
And if same ppl come to ur place..u wud make their life hell by making racial comments...yeh sab sirf social media mein bolna aur sunna accha lagta hai...Ground reality is different....
Hats off to Mandeep and family!!! What they have done for the children is immense... Am a proud Manipuri and now I feel more because of these people!!!!
Just love this episode n I miss my punjabi frnd Navdeep Singh At this moment.. Punjabi r very kind hearted n good to everyone And I m proud to be Manipuris and I really thanks to this channel to show us around the world !!!
Wow nice video, this is the real Manipur not what media tells about militants etc. etc. I almost felt like the best when the child tells a common peom it is basically saying, we all are one there is no difference between you and us, hindu muslim everyone is same...Manipur is mini India.
Mr and Mrs Mandeep had given their appreciation and warmth to the guest which is due for a manipuri/meitei. Thanks to the family. I'm impressed by the boy studying manipuri language, its incredible. Lots of things impressed me in this 23 min long video. The 'chakhoa'/(black rice) kheer and the 'singju'/(mixed fresh vegetable preparation) are mouth watering. This lady shows no bad emotion when she fails to bargain a 'shawl' for Rs 300. Thanks to the team making this travelogue. Being a manipuri, I still missed out, visiting some of the places. Its a shame for which I shouldn't forgive myself.
When I was at inter school, there was a girl from Chandigarh. Her brother had some business at Imphal but she never visited the place before. Once she graduated from high school in Punjab, she came to Manipur and got admission for Class XI. She and my other colleagues introduced to each other. On the very first day, she ate ngari singju from the school canteen. Weird but cute. XD

As the boy says in his poem, we are all one- no Manipuri, no Bihari, no Bengali. It's just a myth. We are none other than human beings. That's all and nothing else.
