2024 Wine Purge 2005 Jarvis Estate Wines

The first "Wine Purge" and let mew tell you something, I wasn't prepared LOL!! Be ready for some On The Spot Bloopers!
I will share this with you. This wine could have easily went another 10 yrs. I regret opening it, but that is the fun part. Tasting a wine over a number of years and being surprised.

NOTES From the Winery:
This is the latest in a series of outstanding Reserve Cabernet Sauvignons from Jarvis. Our wine Consultant Dimitri Tchelistcheff and Winemaker Ted Henry designate a wine as “Reserve” only when there is an exceptional harvest. We are most fortunate to have several outstanding harvests in a row! This 2005 vintage is a wine of amazing style and elegance and meets their criterion as a Reserve. Its deep amethyst hue and a bouquet of clove and cherries are sure to intrigue you. Twenty-five months in new French Haute Futaie oak barrels adds nuances of toasty vanilla to entice you even more. This wine has gone through extended aging and released when our winemaker felt is was ready for you and your friends to enjoy. Best to
consume within ten years. The grapes for all Jarvis wines are grown in our own hillside vineyards which were planted in 1985. The vineyards are 1,000 feet above Napa Valley east of the city of Napa. The cool mountain growing region affords moderate temperatures for optimum ripening of the grapes.
