Thank you so much Claire for being willing to have this incredibly important conversation with me, I look forward to creating real change that will impact so many lives positively with you. You're truly the nurse I wish I'd had.
Hi Claire hope you see this, I’ve been binging through your old videos as I have roughly 6mths left to go on my adult nursing course, Clare I was so overwhelmed when I listened to your full BCU story including the awful hardships you faced and overcame, I am so glad you kept going as you are such an inspiration. I too faced bumps in the road in 2yr and restarted 3yr this Jan, I struggled with confidence as most placements weren’t great luckily 2.2 and 3.1 were fantastic. When I returned I worried about remembering the fundamentals and was concerned about being at a disadvantage I had to override a lot of negative thoughts but thanks to previous placements mentioned I remembered important things . I’m about to do a presentation on leadership this Friday with my subgroup for TQN, I’m hoping once our slides are edited we can include a short snippet of your video on leadership, as I feel it’s was really insightful I think you’re a great example of the next generation of nurses ✨
Good morning! I’m sorry you had some tough days too. Im so glad you kept going and now in year 3!! Whooop. Amazing achievement. But it will all be worth it in the end 💙 keep going! Aw thank you so much, that’s so lovely of you to go that! 🥰❤️🌻 xx
Exactly my thoughts! So much research but no action, I recently submitted my dissertation on barriers to cervical screening in ethnic minority people, and they’ve known about many of these barriers for a long time but still not much has changed. Great topic, thank you for making this video 😁
I’m not sure why more hasn’t been done?! 😭💔 there should be way more out there right now. Good luck for your dissertation! I’m sure you would of smashed it! :)
Hi Claire, thanks for sharing this with us. I ageee that somethings need to be changed in some areas of health whatever it may be. That's great to hear from a young woman of her experience with health abuse and what have you. She's really brave and good to see that she's making a difference as well. Keep up the good work girls.
@@ClaireCarmichael Good evening from NZ, You are welcome. I did have a great day into what I hope to achieve for my personal life and everything else in future.
@@AspieAnswers oh yes NZ!!!! 🙌🏻 I forgot sorry. I’ll definitely go check this out :) I’ve been slacking at keeping track of everyone’s videos lately 🙈🌻 x
@@gingernutpreacher thank you for this! That’s interesting! But shocking that they are charging £48 for it! Hopefully it will be available on the NHS soon then. X
@@ClaireCarmichael the NHS seem very hesitant to do this there has already been trails because and they're only for people who have missed their appointment for 18 months I believe I have seen women post pictures of their self sampling kit other than London but the kit does list the HPV strain

I did my dissertation on the cultural barriers of BAME women attending cervical screening. I LOVED it and got a first!
