It was looking like a good product until that top bar was short. That would really annoy me because like yourself it has to look right. Nice recovery on your part.
very impressed by your improvisation for making the structure all square. I hope you, Kelly and Winter are all ok, my stress levels are sometimes through the roof and then I feel so sad about all these deaths.
Joe bud, looks like you framed the base with long side timbers out, then width pieces on top of the long sides, rather than between the two long sides. Thats added around 4-6 inches on length, which might have been the difference in length for the ridge pole.
Tony's Gardens & Gizmo’s No I fixed the shorter bits of wood inside the longer lengths mate. I tried both ways and the bar was still to short. It was out by 14 inches your way mate. I followed the instructions provided to show a true result and had the company on a hotline at the time I built it. The ridge bar was out by a lot more than 6inchs Tony my old mate.
Need to sort the sound levels out ...up an down all the way through ? Next investment/blag for separate sound recording mic 🤩🤩....blow my speakers out going into intro 😳😂, good vid and informative though thanks 👍👍😀
Nice job Joe. Do you have an affiliate link that we can use. If that thing is really around £100 I think that's pretty good. I immediately thought about a hinged bed. Would be great. Cheers in advance, Robert. 👍🏻
My Allotment Life Hi mate, to be honest they wasn’t interested and didn’t seem keen to push this size tunnel out and want to focus more on selling the bigger tunnels. Shame really.
@@diggingfordinner weird really. I love the idea of a big polytunnel too but can't really justify it at the moment. And I don't have the space. Anyway, nice vid, glad they are still coming despite the phone issues. And loved the bbq and fire pit too. 👍🏻
Hi has first tunnels commented on the top horizontal bar seems strange it being short like you i wouldn't be happy with the end panels sloping inwards maybe it was just a fault with your delivery
Hi Joe concerning that middle pole did you and i'm sure that you have ask First Tunnels, if that was the right size pole, as like you i like to have every thing spot on and that would drive me mad seeing that every time i went to the allotment. Also can you do a revue of stuff so far, as i have seen the New Fence up but i have only seen the video of the posts going in and some netting, it looks like some planks and a gate has gone up, i know you are really busy but it's just that i like to see things getting built to give me some ideas and help. Barry Roberts Hi Barry, the video of the fence is done just not edited yet as I had more videos before it. Not enough hours in a day mate haha yes the company wasn’t interested in what I had to say regarding the pole being to short
Ballysillan Allotment-man 14inchs on the biggest gap, I’ve got another on the way from a different company to show so it’s always worth comparing. The new one is cheaper to so if it’s good quality it mite be worth a shout
I too think it is strange that they supply a too short a pipe for this cloche/cold frame/mini tunnel. But I was just wondering, are you a londoner? And it is so lovely to hear the cocks crowns, that is real country life to me 😊😊😊😊

The instructions tell you to cut the side timbers to the same length as the top bar using the bar as a measure
I probably would have bought one of these. Glad you did a video. I have zero skills and it would have ended up going back.
Great for small gardens.

That looks really smart...
Cheers Joe..

@@diggingfordinner ahhh looked like it was only a few inches. 14 inches is a veeeeeery different length 🤣

mike smith 1 haha sorry about that, packs a punch though rite lol I’ll sync it next time 👍
Hi I love you content very inspirational
megaplay 1234 Thank you so much 😊
Instead of lengthening the top bar would it have been easier to shorten the base?
Super adorable! I bet that will come in very handy on frosty nights. Too bad it didn't come with some kind of nifty door, or did it?
Donna Burley No door but it’s now on hinges and I’ve built a bed for it

Ballysillan Allotment-man They made no comment when I put it to them. I couldn’t live with the terrible angle lol
Yeah doesn't seem right at all. I reckon they've sent the wrong pole.
My Allotment Life They read my message but made no comment on the pole front. Shame really.

Joe was just thinking if you hadn't a replacement bar could you shorten the length of the wooden base to suit the bar supplied ?
Ballysillan Allotment-man I could have but that would have provided less growing room inside so the bar extension made more sense to me.
