Huh, I have a blacked out Grand and I think it looks fine. The buckle is super functional for what I use it for. I like that the buckle pocket has it's own volume as well.

I find the zipper pulls to be helpful on Tom Bihn bags because those big zippers can get awfully jangly. Maybe not so much on a hip-pack, but the Smart Alec and Aeronaut definitely benefited from it.

Great video ! Would be pretty cool to see for the next sling video "The North Face Electra Sling L". Seems quite good and there are almost no reviews of that sling on youtube !
