I really like Lauren's reviews and as a Tom Bihn fan I'm pleased to see PH covering one of their bags. Normally I like to try a bag for myself and the good thing about being in a city with REI is that you can see various brands in one spot. Unless you live in Seattle or are traveling through you won't have access to the Tom Bihn manufacturing location and showroom. I'm lucky to be in Seattle and I've found that some bags do fit my female frame.. but each individual is so different and it's a hard one. If you're lucky enough to be near Seattle drop by the showroom or have a friend that has the bag give it a try. Normally I don't care for a ton of pockets but Tom Bihn makes these bags so streamlined and with different choices of interior colour and material. They have practically doubled their choices in outer material over the last few years . Once you start using the d-rings and accessory bags you'll find a system that works just for you. I use the accessory bags with lanyards and can just basically fish out my smaller bags when I need to so I don't have the problem that Lauren describes with things smaller things falling down to the bottom. I find this bag comfortable carry for me so it's a win-win!
The bag looks almost perfect except the harness system seems to be a hard pass. I really enjoy packs that sit high. Really like the simple compartments and streamlined look of the water bottle compartment. Nice 2 side pockets 😊
I really appreciate the balanced review! A pass for me due to many of the issues you pointed out. Despite what doesn't work for me, I remain a devoted TB fan (like the hidden water bottle pocket. Big fan of o-ring system which has prevented many a lost item, lots of external pockets and customer service which is superb. The review brought up some pet peeves: running out of adjustment space on straps (common for me, lately); stoaway straps that often equal less robust straps. And frame sheets - or the lack of one. Seems like manufacturers need to make a choice: better padded backs (for packs that are meant to carry more) or frame sheets that better conform to the body. I have no idea how one does that but it's driving me mad and it's often given short shrift.
Hi guys are the NR products on the review page on your website going to be reviewed at some point? I’d really like to see your take on the Topo Mountain Pack

Why haven't you guys review Tom Bihn's Paramour? It has been out for awhile now.
Thanks for the suggestion, Joel! I’ll pass it along 😃

the one thing I dislike about Tom Bihn, there's too many good bags! I can't decide on which one I want.
Not a bad problem to have 😉
Isn't this bag named after the Italian white bread 🍞
Cambiata is a musical term 😃
