    We've all had zero experience at some point. We learn, we experiment, and we learn some more and at some point along the line we've gotten the experience and earned the knowledge to take great photos.

    So many photographers are so picky about everything. When I started out as a wedding photographer I was told 35mm was no good and had to use medium format. Then all those clowns that said 35mm was no good and then they all jumped on digital DSLR.
    One photographer told me taking photos of people downtown was weird and told me not to do that. Today its called street photography.
    Was told my camera is to small and clients will look down at me because I use Mickey Four Thirds.
    Nikon ambassador Moose Peterson someone ask him about color and he said its not a big. He said something like the person that will be looking at these images or buying a print was not there on location when he took the photo.

    I always wonder how you get that fill light. Do you combine the flashes with natural light? The strip box alone would not give such even light across the frame, would it? Great work anyway, John!

    • @kaskoPhoto
      @kaskoPhoto  23 години тому

      There is a combination of light but yes, a strip can fill the frame for sure.

    Can you tell me are you using ambient light as well?It seems so even and well lit for such a small strip box. Thanks!

    • @kaskoPhoto
      @kaskoPhoto  23 години тому

      There is a 25% fill with ambient. But a strip box will surprise you. It can throw some light.

    You shoot for a lot of clothing brands are all your clients local or do you have to email or cold call companies across the country?

    • @kaskoPhoto
      @kaskoPhoto  День тому +1

      I have one local and the rest are remote

    Just an important note, especially for beginners, no need for expensive Sony flashes or VERY expensive Magmod. Godox speedlights and their softboxes are very affordable and work amazingly. Nic work otherwise.

      Sorry, you must’ve missed the part where I said it doesn’t matter which soft box you used or flash system. But for me personally, I use Sony flashes because they work the best on this system and actually have warranty service and repair available if they ever need it.

    How did you get that "golden warm" look in the last shots. The light from the video doesn't look close to that... If you ever feel like do a post production video, I am here for it. Thanks again, another wonderful video.

      I set a warmer white balance in-camera.
