Thanks, I found 2 cloth masks, as well as lint. Must have been there for years, as we moved into this house almost 2 years ago, and the codes finally came on. Great explanation video!!!
We had a bra pad in ours, too. Thanks for the super clear video. At first, I wasn't clear how far under the machine it was, but once I found it, I couldn't believe you got a camera and your hand down there.
Thanks for the kind words 👍
Wow- we also had a bra pad stuck in ours!! Ugh! How ironic is that lol. This video was excellent! So glad I didn’t have to contact someone. Thanks!
Thank you!!! I pulled 4 masks out of the trap along with a handful of hair ties!! Super simple fix and easy to follow!!
We are gonna find that those mask did more harm than that
Thank you so much for this video, I was able to fix my own washer and it didn’t cost me a fortune! Thank you again for taking the time to do this.
Thanks! Had the errors, did the clean exactly as you showed. Back up and running! I also wiped down the inside where that strainer goes. There was some small debris in there too. Thanks again! 👍😎
You’re welcome, thank you for the kind comment 👍
Good video thanks.
Your title shows the f03 code. You only address the f09. Does this possibly fix the f03 too?
Thank you for this video,
You saved me a lot of money. I owe you a coffee (at least). 💪
Yay!!! Totally Fix the Problem. Initially, the error msgs did not clear, the door remained locked (UUUUUGH) and the humming continued. I thought, epic failure. But then I remember reading another comment. So, I re-plug the machine back in. Let it sit, humming and beeping for about 10 mins and then I heard a different 2nd deep. Checked and the door was unlocked! But I had 2 different set of error messages (sorry forgot to write them down). SO then I remembered I saw another posted on how to clear the error message, did that and voila! Machine is working. Thnx so much for posting this and making it so easy!
100 % same issue. I cleared the first errors but then got : F03 & E01 error. I plugged the machine back in and could hear the drain pump humming ( repairman said it wasn't working and should be replaced !!!) Left the machine plugged in for 8 MINUTES ( just let it run it's cycle) At 8 minutes: the pump shut off, all codes were gone, door unlocked and machine is now WORKING FINE ! No I did not replace the drain pump !! THANK YOU !!
You are a fucking hero! Mine had some much gunk in it. Unbelievable! Thanks!
I need to replace my pump.. dose anyone have the model number?..😢
That looks like the padding for a bra.
This video literally changed my life! I’m a single mom of 4 teens and my washer going out (that someone just donated to me) is a huge deal!! I do not have extra money to spend at a laundromat. Initially I saw a video about resetting the door lock and am grateful to have caught this one and thought it definitely made sense because I also have a large long hair German shepherd on top of 4 kids. Cleaned it out and now I’m back in working/washing order. So thank you so very much!!!! Easy. 5 minute fix.
Thank you! Mine was full of Bobby pins. A safety pin, some change and a small piece of wood🤦🏼♀️!
Are you kidding me!! I followed your video and found a sports bra pad stuck in the trap!! You saved me hundreds!!
You’re welcome!
Finally, I found this video. Our system is under warranty. We have made 3 service calls. Each time, they can't find anything wrong. The service folks just play with their stupid tablets and call someone from the office. Then leave saying there isn't anything wrong.
After finally getting a service code on the machine, I did a UA-cam search, and you popped up.
Thank you!
Found the coin trap, cleaned it, now the wife is happy, and I'm about to check the other machine, which also has a similar issue without a coin trap access in site
Whoever changed the design needs an express trip to the ninth level of hell. Eff that guy.
Glad you got it fixed! UA-cam is amazing!
Oh man you saved us! Even the repairman didn't check the trap or clean it out - he replaced the pressure sensor instead. We had codes E01 and F03.
I just took the trap out and it was worse than yours! It had three bra inserts in the trap! Crazy, especially since my wife doesn't have or need them. We've only been in this house for nine months so some previous resident obviously lost a few bra inserts inside this washer. And by the way, Maytag's placement of this trap inside and at the bottom of the washer, requiring you to disconnect it, haul the heavy thing out from the wall, and remove the back panel, all to clean out a silly trap, is STUPID DESIGN!!! Our old LG washer at our last house had the trap easily accessible on the front of the washer at the bottom, requiring zero disassembly! Guess which washer we just purchased for our new home: an LG.
I do agree it’s a stupid design and I just got this error code after six years with this machine. I will tell you though: never again will I buy an LG washer. The last one had the drum mount break four months out of warranty and the cost to repair was more than a new one.
@@unclefreddy2009 Yeah, my thing is I don't think you can trust any appliance brand anymore, at least not like we used to. The Amana refrigerator and freezer (two separate appliances) my mother had in our kitchen while I was a wee kid were still there when I left for the military some 20 years later. Forget that experience for any of today's appliances, though! I was watching some videos on the "Yale Appliance" channel and liked one guy's comment there - he suggested that given all this unreliability, either you buy a cheap appliance and expect it to break within 2-3 years and replace it, or you go for a more expensive appliance with the features you want but buy the extended warranty too, something you never needed in years past. So you can bet I bought an extended warranty for the LG washer/dryer. That paid off at our last house a couple times.
Yep...had a repairman who told me my Maytag needed a new drain pump ! I followed online instructions which cleared all my errors and the machine is FINE. Pump is fine.
The black thing you pulled out was a bra pad 😂😂😂😂
Thank you so much! Got mine cleaned this evening! We found a small makeup washcloth, 3 children's socks, a worn penny, a T20 bit and just yucky slime! Thank you for giving me the courage to do this on my own! Back in business and not crying with every failed load!
Great job!
Oh sweet, so this will be like a treasure hunt, I’m in. 👍
@@jereksliwinski2789 let us know what you find.
I’ve used your video 2 times to unclog my machine. The 1st after a repair man charged me $95, without doing anything besides telling me to purchase another washer. Thank you for making it idiot proof, so I could fix it myself!
I did avrething you did mine did work what can I do next it still shows me the code
i have this same model im about to do this in a bit UPDATE: OMG I fixed it !!!! Thank you so much for this video no crazy beeping ! YAY!!! saved myself a service call. I found lint looking stuff AND POCKET CHANGE .
HELPFUL HINT - If you're getting error code indicating drain issue or pump failure, remove the water pump while you're cleaning filter and hose. I cleaned the filter (which really wasn't dirty or clogged) and the hose and still got the error message. I repeated the process but removed the water pump the 2nd time. After removing, I disassembled the water pump by removing 3 screws that held pump together. Inside the pump, I found the culprit. A thin nail was preventing the impeller from rotating. I reassembled, and all is perfect again.
THANKS SO MUCH for your video. Great step by step instructions that WORK.
Thank you so much for the information. Your video is awesome and very helpful! I didn't know that I had a trap! Single 57 fixing myself! Thanks again
Looks like it was clogged with a sports bra padding insert.
That’s what I’m hearing.😂👍😎
Thank you so much . Appreciated
Glad it helped
this code just popped up for me, we shut the machine and the error code went away. We cleaned it with affresh before the code came up. is it at all possible it was just the affresh causing the code?
Any tips unscrewing a tight trap? Cannot get mine out! thanks!
That large piece of material is a bra pad.for example like sport bras
Thank you so much for this! Took a looooong time for mine to drain because I had a full load but your tutorial worked perfectly and my machine is back up and running. Thanks again!!
You’re welcome! Thank you for the kind comment!👍😎
I checked the trap, nothing. I replaced the pump, same problem. I replaced the air valve, same problem. I replaced the check valve, same problem. My wife then got the bright idea to change the spin cycle Medium on every wash load. So far, it has been 6 months without a problem. I think sometimes the spin cycle doesn't let the water drain causing the problem. Change the spin rate to medium or slow and see if it helps!
I tried this and it didn’t help. Any other tips?
@@josephrea3251 Sorry Joseph it didn't work. Mine is still working after a year.
Awesome video. VERY nice job and easy to follow. Saw one comment about a panel on the bottom of the washer. Our washer and dryer are in a closet on an elevated stand so instead of pulling the washer completely out, I pulled it out far enough to lean it back and saw the panel. 2 - 1/4" screws and 2 plastic "push pins" holding it. Took off the 2 screws and one pin and the panel dropped off and right there is the drain!! Removed the drain and it had some fuzz, small pieces of fabric, 2 tooth picks and a quarter!!! It's back together and my wife just fired it up with a load of laundry. Working so far. Thanks for the video!!
Nice! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much
This was perfect. Thanks for doing this. Cleaned mine today and you saved me a service call.
You’re welcome! Thank you for the kind comment!👍😎
Thank you very much! This video is amazing! My husband and I were able to solve this problem on a weekend day at 10 pm.
Dude, thank you so very much. Worked like a charm.
To work the dryer may take
Gosh you saved me a couple hundred on repair ,my Maytag gave me code E01 F03 and I checked owners manual and few other you tube videos and were too confusing using meters which I know nothing about but I tried the little filter plugs on the water connections all was good there ,and then found your video and bam !!! Fixed ,I found those plastic tooth pics abojt 7 of them and a set of small keys and key tab and dime and screw ,
Awesome fix- Big Thank You
Can't thank you enough for this DIY Fix!! Got mine emptied, cleaned and up and running again. Thankful I found this video.
Yahoo!!! Thanks for the video. Helped a million!
You're welcome!
Thank you
Great video! Solved the problem! Thank you so much!
Thank you & thanks for the kind comment!👍😎
Thanks for the video! I had first checked the hoses and it was fine - ran a test run and still got the error, then I found your video. Pulled out a sock from the trap and machine runs normally now!
Thanks! Found 4 Covid masks in my trap!
You’re welcome! Thank you for the kind comment!👍😎
It’s gonna work until you find out that the pump is broken
Thanks for the helpful video 👍 🍻
You’re welcome. Cheers.
I need help, I checked the drain and nothing changed do then I replaced the drain pump and nothing changed, it is still giving me the F03 E01 error. What do I do?
Me too, any resolve?
Bra pad !!
Great video, you are indeed a hero.
What is the pump part number
It’s unplugged and cleared, and will start a load but errors out a few minutes in when the drum has water in it. Is that the pump then?
Hi did you fixed it mine is doing same thing.
@@harpreetsinghgrewal9850 we tried a few things. The pressure sensor needed replacing and the drain cleaned out.
Worked! My trap was full of junk. Thank you!
Did the trick! Thanks!
I also found a bra pad amongst other crap in mine, yet sadly did not fix my problem. When plugging back in, makes a crackly noise in the pump and does not refill trap tube with any new water when trapped checked again. 🫤
