I would try this, unplugging it for ten minutes and plug it back in and if that does not work try this next step. Unplug it and wait for ten minutes the pour about a cup of warm water in the soap dispenser, you should be able to see it running down inside the washer. Plug it back in, that's it. If you are still getting an error or the door will not unlock by itself you may have to unlock it manually as seen in the video, you might as well take the cloths out once you get it unlocked. Also just unplug it while you going through the process to unlock it manually and save yourself ten minutes. Here's a couple tips to help avoid this problem in the future. 1. make sure to use HE detergent AND use the recommended amount, adding more is not going to get your clothes cleaner. Use the measuring cup provided, using that push bulb to put in laundry detergent is not a good habit. 2. The laundry detergent should be the last thing you do, if you put it in first it will just run down inside the washer and it will not mix with the water, it will also drain into the drain pump which cannot pump out the heavy undiluted soap thus causing an error. Remember the washer pumps water into the soap dispenser so it's mixes and is not so dense, if you put the soap in first by the time you get your clothes in it's already drained inside your washer and into the pump.
Thank you Sir. This was simple and worked because I had replaced the pressure switch (2x) and the water pump. Neither fixed my E03/F01 but I finally found your video and simply blowing in the hose connected to my pressure switch cleared. There was a little blockage not much but we are back in business and have been through 5+ loads with out erroring out thanks again for just your quick explanation of the part helped me understand.
I just had to come on here and say THANK YOU! I followed each step and fixed my washer on my own today, saving who knows how much money!! Thank you again !
Like others, I tried this trick but no luck. But then after resetting, I opened the door to feel the clothes. Opening the door *after* unplugging/re-plugging power made the error codes disappear and the machine work again. Worth a shot before pulling out the tools
I checked the trap, nothing. I replaced the pump, same problem. I replaced the air valve, same problem. I replaced the check valve, same problem. My wife then got the bright idea to change the spin cycle Medium on every wash load. So far, it has been 6 months without a problem. I think sometimes the spin cycle doesn't let the water drain causing the problem. Change the spin rate to medium or slow and see if it helps!
I’ve been going crazy trying to do the same thing w my front loader duet. I’m going to try this !! Mine won’t drain it keeps throwing F9 E1 codes and we’ve tried everything . No water in tub but there’s a drip in the door seal. Don’t know if it’s related . I’ll try the M spin speed
Thanks so far so good running some test washes. FYI I did have to take off the top as well to pull the tab to release the door lock and also I cleaned the filter trap.
We’ve had our whirlpool duet for 8yrs, never had an issue with it. That’s because I used to water down the liquid detergent. Then I got lazy and just started using it full strength and for the last few months I’ve been getting these error codes on and off. I finally came to the realization that I need to take the time to water my detergent again. 50/50 detergent/water. That should do the trick.
I have to replace my water inlet valve for it to work after trying to replace water sensor and the air tube. My cold 1 valve have a problem so water doesnt come out enough thats why the water sensor keep sending error code f03 e01
How do you differentiate from it being the water inlet valve and something else. I keep getting the same code and have tried the above video with no success. I don’t want to buy the part if I know it won’t fix the issue. The current water inlet valve is also not leaking.
So I've tried unplugging multiple times, even cleaned out the filter. Every time I plug it in it's the immediate codes and sounds like it's trying to drain but won't stop until I unplug it again . Any ideas???
Good day Sir,I'm having a problem with my washer. I'm able to turn on the machine but I'm getting to lines like this ‐ ‐ and the machine won't start. Please respond ,thank you.
Hi Basil, Can you try unplugging it for half an hour and plug it back in to see if that helps? Here’s a video that shows also how to do the diagnostic test: ✨ DUET WASHING MACHINE - EASY DIAGNOSTIC TESTING ✨ ua-cam.com/video/KpxhBMGWgI4/v-deo.html
We have those codes showing, but the door is still remains locked. We drained what little water was in the tub but the door is still will not open and the codes are still throwing.
Wish this one worked for me. Door is locked and drain pump stays on with the error code E01 and F03 rotating on the screen. Unplugging the machine keeps the drain pump from burning out but if I left it plugged it the drain pump would stay on and the door locked. Tried unplugging and plugging in multiple times.
Can you take the screws off of the back of the top panel and remove the panel and then reaching behind the door lock and lift up on the plastic tab to release the lock that will also reset the washing machine so it will work properly.
@@ScottTheFixItGuyChannel Thank you for the reply. We went through a few more videos and found that solution. Another one recommended cleaning the trap/filter. So we have done both, cleaned the filter and lifted up on that plastic tab to open and the machine is working. Whew! Had clothes I need for an upcoming trip in there!

Remove the pressure tube from top and bottom put your finger over the end and blow through the tube. The tube may have a hole/wear spot. If so replace the tube

Also try cutting your detergent amount in half👍
Oh, no, the door it’s not locked
You are awesome! I got it to work… hopefully it’s a full cycle. Thanks so much 🙏🏻
Recommend to check the water inlet valve also. It might be the issue too. My experience.
Thanks Mark👍
life saver!
Hi Scott ,I have a similar machine, never used , first time plugged in , no power , no display
Can you send that same question to my email? At: scottthefixitguy@yahoo.com
Mine was the drain motor. If you’re underneath cleaning the coin trap-touch the motor to see if it’s hot. Mine was very hot and struggled to run.
Good advice👍

Thank you great info and it worked ... don’t know if the pump is strong enough to get the water up and out the elbow ... any thoughts ?
The pump might be partially blocked.

Leave it unplugged for a few minutes, it should reset itself
You can manually unlock it from the top. Remove top. There’s a round tab on the topside of the door lock. Pull up on it to unlock.

If that doesn’t work check the dome where the black tube goes into the tub they get clogged

Remove the pressure tube from top and bottom put your finger over the end and blow through the tube. The tube may have a hole/wear spot. If so replace the tube
What does U4 means?
Mine brings in too much water in the drum
I think the water level pressure tube came off of the tub.
Just showing me how to unplug and replug the machine is not particularly helpful....
