- Golden Temple was one of the best temples I have ever been to - clean, organized, shining, and well kept. Tens of thousands of people visit this place every day. Also, no matter who you are, you are welcome in the temple to have free food. But seriously, when you are searching for the best place to eat in Amritsar, this free temple food comes on the top and it was definitely amazing!
Beautiful experience and something new to learn which is an important part of the Punjab region.

Living in England most my life, but have moved around the world many times, I can say that SIKH people are the most hardworking, community focused and family oriented people i know.

Well I am a Muslim, my very first Sikh food experience was in London. There are several abandoned Sikh temples all around Pindi, abandoned houses, by the Sikhs here. Always wanted to meet them,to sit and chat with them, in the same language that we share. And yes, they are amazing people, kind, loving and caring. Sat Sri Akal to all Sikh community, from Pakistan

The Golden Temple was just recently confirmed as the most visited place in the world according to World Book of Records with around 6 million visitors a year and has the largest free kitchen in the world feeding around 100,000 people per day.
Being a Sikh, I can tell you ,people treated you well becuase you yourself are very respectful,polite and aware.Sometimes foreigners can be really condescending and ignorant so they are paid back in mockery/harassment.
A Sikh is systematically taught to return whatever he receives .Anger/violence/disrespect is returned doublefold. Love ,care and respect is returned similarly.
I don't speak for Sikh politicans, clergymen and extremists because I am disdainful towards them,so I wont be fair in my criticism.
However, a regular sikh cannot help but return the love and respect.

I don't think what you said is true about everyone among Sikhs. Most Sikhs are kind and nice people who are forgiving. There are some Sikhs who live in Delhi and learn Delhi culture which is unfortunately unforgiving and ruthless. Because of focus on service they are generally kind. You cannot have tit for tat mentality if you serve people.

@SANBRUCE ye propaganda kisi or ko sunana..asal me Hinduism koi religion nhi ha..religion ka naam tumhara sanatan hi ha..hindu is a regional identity.but in present time Hinduism and sanatn is same..i can accept hindurashtra but sanatn rashtra is out of question..budha declined Vedas which are main thing in sanatan ..he even wrote in one of his texts that sanatn is like a cult..guru nanak also said" ab man sanatn se ulat hoya" which means I don't believe in sanatn anymore..so Sikhism and budhism is not a part of sanatan or Hinduism..i don't know much about Jainism so I cant say much..or rahi baat to tum logon ko Islam se badi takleef hoti ha..Sikhs always stand with muslims..koi santan rashtra nhi banega..agar sanatan rashtra banega to khalistan bhi banega 100%

I still love my memories from visiting the Golden Temple, I felt very peaceful and calm after my visit. People were extremely polite and sweet.
