This is the single best competition idea anyone in the TM community has had. It tests so many different skills at once. I would watch this content for days.
All the time Yannex route was showed you can see how smooth his transitions and whole track driving experience looked compared to everyone else's solutions. Deserved win
yep smooth route is key and he always managed to make it work and look intended rather than some scuffed kacky trial map lol.. I guess Tekky is understandably leaning in that direction but ya know
It would be cool for everyone to see what each other did at the end of each round, to hear their reactions to one another's ideas 💯 Digging this series
@@jackthompson7546 Ohh, that would be cool, maybe even get a bonus point, if they beat the time set by the winner of the round on their track (with a very limited time/attempts each ofc)
So glad that Buckley included snippets from the others' view points. It's cool getting a little snapshot of what the other players are doing while you're focused on Wirtual's efforts. Also cool to see their reactions to the challenges of the puzzle and other people's times.
Yannex translated: 2:20 => but even, we can't go to the finish, it's not the right height. Ah, maybe like that. Ok, do I finish once? Where is the start? It's on the left. Ah! There is 2 laps?! Waiiit! Uh?! Oh no, you don't see it but it shows 1 out of 2. Wait, it's a multilap... uhhh... aware. Wait, it changes everything. 15:33 => What I don't understand is the grass there. Actually, the blocks... Why do I have grass? Ok, maybe I was wrong, I screwed up. I improved (the path I guess?). Back in it. 18:08 => I could have even added 10 minutes to my timer. Ah, they are still playing there. Ok, I'm going to go tell them. 26:58 => Ok, first we're going to do a theoretical run. I hit the water. I think I won't do better
Damn Yannex is really just the GOAT. Cool to see Wirtual get second place but Yannex really stamped his mark on the "all-rounder trackmania skills" format. Puzzle-solving, building smooth & natural to drive tracks, and still optimizing tricks to make the driving as fast as possible. Even if the professional (like world championship types of) drivers all participated I doubt they could beat Yannex in this format.
Man I hope this contest is as fun to participate in as it is to watch, because the content coming out of it is some of the best on this channel. The different streamer perspective, the different solutions, it's a super cool watch and I'm glad we got this!
Would love to see more of these, really fun to watch, especially seeing all of the different solutions/perspectives. Seeing everyone come up with different solutions but still all have very competitive times is crazy.
We need more tournaments like this on the channel. I love everything about it! The suspense, the challenge, the competition. It's incredible, good stuff and really fun to watch!
Yannex had 3 incredible maps GG! Edit: love this mapping format and would love to see more in the future! -It would be cool if you could somehow have a global clock, though. His timer was about 40 seconds behind yours, and he started his winning lap after your timer had already finished (his showed 18s remaining).- nvm, explanation below
his computer had a blue screen on the first map, and he was out of the competition for 10 minutes, thats why shorty allowed him some extra time at the end
Yannex getting a 10 minutes blue screen on the first map and still coming out on top is really all you need to know about this man's level in puzzle competition lmao
hi wirtual :) nice video as usual the concept of this challenge is insane it's just sad that you didn't kept the reaction to each others solution mainly the solution proposed for the first map ... i remember the guy who's made it had like a 2 second faster time with really clever use of the booster it was insane (can't remember who it was) if some watch my comment you can see in of yannex vod btw... definitely worse the detour
This tournament really showed how creative and fun Trackmania can be! 🎮✨ Each round was like a fresh puzzle for everyone to figure out. Can't wait to see more collabs like this! It's just too good 🚀😄
Super fun event! Would love to see more of this in the future. I know it's a big ask for the editor, but it would be wonderful if we could get English subtitles for Yannex in the future, as well, so we can truly appreciate his insane mapping skills.
Loved the video! My recommendation would be I'd love to see your reaction (and even the other players reactions too) to the other players' solutions to maps!
I think the tricky thing about this mode psychologically is that you on,y see your opponents' current best time but you usually know where your own best time has room for improvement, and at your level, about how much. So it's easy to feel like your lead is bigger than it is, because you don't know how much improvement your opponents can make quickly.
This is so awesome! Hope there are more like this! Also, I wonder if it might not make sense to try to build backwards? Get a really good ending first and make your way to the beginning? I'm not saying it would be better, but rather a cool experiment.
I've been studying french for over 2 years now at school and I am among the best in my class yet I could hardly understand anything yannex was talking about without godlike focus😭 Spoken french is a different beast

W Wirtual. Hope you win and I love your content and also I started playing trackmania and I appreciate you for helping me experience a new game. sry about grammer
This is a cool format, but I would really like to see a "post-mortem" after the event, where they present and discuss their solutions to each other. Like, "ah, I see what you did there", or "why didn't I think of that?" 😉 That would probably also advance the techniques and strategies used in these, improving the "sport" in the long run. I mean, just look at famous advances in sport, like the "Fosbury flop" or the "V-style". What if the competitors couldn't see what they did, and were just forced to stare at their superior result, in confusion... Ok, rant over.
im confused....it seems like they all started their timers at the same time, but on the first map, Yannex started his winning run when Wirt's run (that he started with 4 seconds left) was already in the standings...?
