nice scoot , I was expecting it to have more bhp than than though , more like 30 bhp - a lad in our club has one of them super Monza's and it's 29.4 bhp , would have thought that with this one belonging to a top scoot racer would have been a bit more - hey I'm not complaining if that's how he likes it and it's reliable fair play , nice scooter anyway :-)
Tis nice wouldn't mind it parked in my garage ;),depends on the dyno Midge I have dynod a few monzas now even a super duper extra special one (owners quote) and that made 27 ish on this dyno which is very good for a lambretta .
Charley would of set this up on a brake dyno. On an inertia dyno the pipe would never get to temp. PT motors work on egt and pulse waves. You won't see that on an inertia dyno as quite simply the motor isn't working hard enough.
the pipe was fitted with an egt, and was reaching the perfect temp this was just a filmed run .we spent the morning on the dyno with plenty of runs on this engine and the owners race engine that he was running in the bsso at the time and they both showed similar results plus .......he changed engine builders/and engine and his results/reliability improved drastically the next year so the dyno results were backed up by the track as well .....strange how its the dyno /operators fault when the numbers aren't near what you think and never the engine ;)
Of course it would be fitted with egt sensor. What temps did it record at half throttle Gary? This is where it will live on the road mainly. How did you load it to record the temps at half throttle? And how really did you you load it for say ten minutes let alone 2 hours on a motorway run on your dyno? It's not possible on an inertia dyno. And re tuner changes Tom bought his race motor secondhand. It was never designed for him. Please pm me for more details. Also...Why are you sitting on the bike during the dyno runs?
what has this to do with a power run on the dyno your talking nonsense,.....all the scooters are dynod in the same conditions(climate monitor /correction factor blah blah) on the same dyno with the same person sat on them making the results all comparable with each other and there's quite a few on my channel to compare . How many are on your channel and how long have you owned a dyno for tony and how many scooters do you dyno and set up on a daily basis can i ask ?

Nice. What EGT values did you get on the inertia run ?
+tonyobri
i cant remember tbh it was a while ago and i have dynod quite a few since this one ;)
lovely tone to that exhaust what type is it
I think it's one of Charlie edmounds specials
Is there a good Lambretta scooter mechanic around Deltona, Florida? I have a 1974 Jet200 that needs service. Tks
