Winston all the way! And that's exactly why I made this, "I think I saw it", i had the same thought. I knew I'd seen it but no idea when and couldn't recall much of it. 😂
I never saw the first movie. As a child (about 4 or 5 years old) I was a huge fan of the cartoon. I loved it to death. So my mother decided to show me the second movie. You know, it was definitely made for kids, because there was a cartoon about it. Anyways, that weird pink goo traumatized me. I was so afraid of it, I couldn't use anything with any connection to the sewers. I had to bathe in a plastic tub, brushed my teeth and washed my hands over a bowl, I had to use a damn potty again. It took me over a year to recover.
Winston should have been in the courtroom scene for sure and other parts of the movie Gubtodi is spot on with this criticism. I remember this film didn't have very good promotion or marketing at the time either. Being a kid of 9 years old in 1989 I didn't hear or see any previews for this movie. Remember this is 1989 when Lethal Weapon and Batman were the huge movies that year you would see promotion for these everywhere. It was the same for Predator 2 with Danny Glover a solid underrated sequel with no promotion or marketing by the studio. Dread the same thing years later a well made solid action movie that was poorly marketed. I bring these examples up because Ghostbuster 2 is a good film. Not great like the 1st but a decent film. I think because it wasn't a big blockbuster like the 1st in 1984 it killed any chance of green lighting a 3rd film. I also thought it strange that Janine had the hots for Egon in the 1st film then switches to Louis. It could have been cool if she ended up dating Egon would have setup the Afterlife film much better years later IMO. Gubtodi is spot on with Ghostbusters 2 playing it to safe instead of being more raw and edgie, I mean the 1st film was PG but it really pushed the boundaries in a lot of areas sexually with the humor but the 2nd film was too vanilla.
For sure! It's ridiculous how much he was cut back out of the first movie but for it to happen again in the sequel, there just no excuse. I wasn't around for the marketing of the movie but looking back even at its trailers seemed anti climactic also. Itnwas a huge year for movies but then again, so was Ghostbusters 1 and it came out almost on top so you'd imagine a sequel was set up perfectly for success. Janine was so jarring to see her change, both physically and her personality. It was too safe a movie but when you have Sigourney Weaver on your cast, you'd expect more. I appreciate you stopping by!

Once the Scolari Brothers 👻shows up Winston is M.I.A. The trio of course bust them and are back in busniness! There's also the scene outside as the fab 3 are dressed as utility workers👷 and no Winston? The first time after Dana's baby carriage🛒roles in the street and is recovered we see the fab 3 once again and no Winston? The scene at Ray's Ocult Book Store again no Winston! 📚🚫👻🎬
@@SuperMarioBrosIII Winston being in and out of the courtroom scene is in this video, I do evidence it. 😊 But even then it is not consistent, it feels as though he was not intended to be there then added in with some reshoots. Although he does pop up, briefly, it's still fair to say that he should have been in the scene considering how they messed it around as he appears and disappears then back again before the brothers are there.

Notice he wasn't included on the promotional artwork for the first movie! He said the cast treated him equal but not Sony studios and it took him over 3 years before he got his next movie role! We see Winston at the start of the second movie but again absent once again from may key scenes. 🤔🤨🙄🙆

When i saw the review i started imagining the song and also you played it lol in the beginning and to be honest Ghost busters the old cast was the best bro no matter what a new movie they make it's not the same minus the details of winston not being in the movie as he should be and coming out of nowhere in the cuts which is a shame😮💨also you mentioned some good old school movies good review, good memories!
@@GubtodiReviews Ok the winston part and the months they could've take their time making totally agree and i liked the nice touchbat 20:23 it was so funny yes as the first movie was successful unfortunately they do not keep the pace between the movie speaking about ghost and moving to romantic relationship story i totally agree with that and i laughed hard when y said you hated Dr. Janosz 😂😂 you had that look am gonna punch his face for the fun of it good review and the length is worth it if you are ghost buster fan superb review from your part!

I think it might have been Nostalgia Critic who said when people were complaining that the Ghostbusters with female leads was just ripping off Ghostbusters and doing the story again and said "No, that's what Ghostbusters 2 did.". Always felt it was a bit cash grabby.
They're both guilty of it. And I can't tell which is worse, the direct sequel doing it or the 'reboot'. They were set up perfectly for an amazing sequel and just did not try it, it felt like they were scared to fail.
In the end I never got around to watching that Ghostbusters, there had been so much drama before it was even out it killed my interest sadly.@@GubtodiReviews
Winston really was done dirty, I think that my favourite scene was him in the subway with the ghost train. Definitely the one I remember the best.
It was a great scene but so random too! 😅 Winston deserved so much better.
Still better than most "big" franchise films these days though 🍻

I actually really liked ghostbusters 2 but they could’ve done more for sure.
It's not one I'd turn off but not one I'd choose either, it's just in that awkward middle ground for me when it could have been so much better. 🤔
