What do i want to do most this year? More exercise, save a bit of money, get my attitude more calmed down and be less of an a-hole, and most of all one good cross-provincial photo road trip. Haven't done one since 2022. Love your channel man and your compositions are really nice!
I really appreciate the comment! Man, a photo trip sounds amazing! I've never traveled out of state specifically for photography. That really does sound like a fantastic goal!
It’s awesome you wanna fly a drone! It’s a great community and there’s a ton of advice out there! I don’t believe you need a commercial license to use drone footage on UA-cam unless you’re earning money from your videos. I fly for recreation and share my videos here 😉
Man, I wish I could. I think I read that my drone is over the weight limit to be considered a recreational drone or something. Or maybe thats what I was told to force me into buying a Part 107 course. Haha! I should try joining one of the community forums and just ask around. Thank you so much for the view and comment. Hope your 2024 is fantastic!
@@JudeStreicherPhoto your drone is over 249 grams, therefore you must register with FAA (costs 5 dollars), then acquire a “TRUST” cert to fly recreationally. It sounds like a lot but once you get the ball rollin, it’s not bad at all! I remember the first time I saw the Hawaiian landscape from the sky… I was literally a child all over again. I’ll never forget that and I’m still loving it! Best wishes for 2024 and looking forward to more videos!
Thank you so much! I am determined to get through it and actually understand it - not just study for the test. Happy New Year, and thanks for the kind words!
solid goals for the year. especially the gym one - there's so much crossover to getting out and enjoying photography when the bag feels lighter! Also as a new dad myself, I highly recommend searching craigslist for people parting with their home gym equipment. I built out a full gym this past year for $800... never need to deal with the travel to and from the gym and now that it's downstairs, gym time actually happens
Thanks, brother! Yeah, it can be challenging getting out the door and to the gym - especially as a dad. I'm a bit jealous that you have the space for a home gym. Haha! Man, that would be awesome! You got any goals for the year?
Some good thoughts here, Jude. My photographic goal for this year is to start documenting everyday life and places that are, for the most part, taken for granted by me. Wish I would have started doing this twenty years ago. Have a good year now.

I set a goal and try to start as soon as I come up with it. 2023 was to learn a new photography skill(macro), so at least one phot walk per week and spend one hour per day working on photography. Pretty much that is my 2024 goal. Something I am also doing but no specific number is to see how many days in a row I can post a photo.
Macro photography is so cool! And it's so challenging even with the right gear. It takes an eye for detail and composition to make a macro photo good! Thank you for sharing, and I'd love to see some of your photographs!

I want peace and quiet in 2024. Friendship. No expectations. You are right small goals
That sounds lovely! we need more genuine things for sure! Happy 2024 and thank you so much for everything!
@@JudeStreicherPhoto happy new year, and thank you to raise the basic questions

My new years resolution is to eat more fruit. I aim low for easy success. Great vid big fella, very enjoyable.
Hey, that's exactly what we should all be doing. Small improvements that over time result in major changes! Thanks for sharing!
Best of luck on the Part 107 test! It is a challenge, but I am sure you will nail it. Stay safe out there!
