Those paper towel techniques you’re talking about is a form of faux painting. I love your work so much. My sister bought me every brush and knives on your website. Unfortunately, my ex purposely destroyed them and my paintings. I’ve been depressed ever since. Like I lost that love from painting bc every time I try to pick up a cheap brush, I associate them with what once I had bc it’s a huge difference! Idc what anyone says! You get what you pay for right? Now I just work with charcoal practicing drawing faces.
beyond amazing! question, do you have reference pictures of stairs maybe or pots, or anything to aid perspective and colours or is it all done completely from your mind? Just want to get your input because for me it’s hard to paint from my imagination, I’m nowhere near your level though lol ♥️
I know that this is going to sound weird. I have never been to Italy but from photos that I have seen, this definitely feels like Italy. Your painting is stunning and now, I want to see Italy. Thank you Kevin
I am Indian. Maine abhi se apki painting dekhna shuru kiya h . mujhe bhi kbhi kabhi paintings bnane ka shok h sir . apki vdo dekh k mujhe kuchh sikhne ko mila
I'm Italian and you can find something similar practically in all country towns/villages of south Europe and not only in Italy. If you paint the Tuscan landscape it could be only in Italy but there are so many beautiful places in Italy especially along the coasts. Anyway, your paintings are always very nice. I like all of them.
In Volterra Italy, it looks exactly like this. The whole town is this beautiful cobblestone and stone in the colors that you’ve used and the town is built on sort of these rolling hills so there’s a lot of those kind of stairs that you painted. If you ever go to Italy I highly recommend Volterra they also do all these amazing alabaster chest sets and figurines etc. and it’s off the beaten path a little bit because the cruise ships don’t usually go there on their tours. But you will need a car to get there.
Yes, I lived in Italy for over 10 years, 4 years in Torino, and 6 years in Puglia, there are many towns that look exactly like your painting. Absolutely charming!
Yes!! It's real, there really are places that still look like this in real life 😄😍 in Italy and other places in Europe too! beautiful painting as always! 😊😊
I'm getting better with my art over time (at it about a year and a half now) but the people I see and know that are also into art are getting better at it too. Like yourself Kevin. It's a lot of fun to see.
I struggle with alot of migraines and such, wich makes me stay put in bed and not really fuction alot. Drawing and painting has always amazed me, but i haven't been able to do almost anything myself. Your videos however are so inspirational and i am able to learn alot. So since i can't physically practice most of the time, i am still able to learn alot from watching you. And for that i thank you Kevin!
Ti sto seguendo già da un po'. Sono affascinata dal tuo modo di dipingere e ho imparato tanto da te. Grazie.Dovresti venire in Friuli Venezia Giulia ci sono dei magnifici paesaggi !!!!
I love this kind of painting! As soon as you put the lowlight on the right shadow side of the tree, the background immediately pushed back. What a thrill seeing that happen! Great painting! Thank you.
Another great painting, Kevin! And, to answer your question, I’ve been to Italy twice, and there are many villages that resemble your scene, even some areas of Rome itself. Thanks!
Hi Kevin, this is not stereotypical Italy, maybe just a little dreamy... You find this kind of scenery in central Italy, like Tuscany, Umbria and Marche (3 regions in central Italy). Ciao!
Splendide pei tire, cela me rappelle la Provence, avec ses marches en pierres,et surtout les pots avec les plantes,c est tout simplement sublime, vous avez un talent fou!😀🎨♥️♥️
Absolutely beautiful. I’ve never been to Italy but this is exactly how I imagine it. Those terra cotta pots just make everything come together. Love everything about your painting. Excellent job! ☀️💕
Definitely looks like Italy to me! Nice! When you were painting the suggestion of stones on the path and building, I was gritting my teeth. My patience might fail me. Your were steady and thorough.
What another beautiful paint. 😍💕 I really enjoy to watching a white canvas become a beautiful paint, can you paint a wisteria flower?? I guess it will be so beautiful if you paint it 😍
I like Kevin 'cause he's not really too particular on his colors, he is but, he isn't; he said I'll just go ahead and grab some of this stuff whatever it is and we'll just do this and also he is really good with geometrical shapes and angles; looking at things in three dimensional. I used to do that maybe I should resort back to doing it again.
Hi Kevin I love watching your paintings. It has helped me a lot. I would love to have some of your videos. I have been painting for many years now myself. Thank you for your hard work . Sheila Gilbert .
Could be a scene in several different areas of the Mediterranean. I have been to places in Spain, France, Italy, Israel, Egypt, Turkey... it looks like certain places in all of these locations. It has a Mediterranean feel.

Man, really wish you showed some portion of what happened between squiggly lines to fully formed cobblestones.
Wow! I love this one! I love the stone walls, stone pots, and the stone steps.😍
