IIDX 8th Style (C44 JA A01)

Beatmania IIDX 8th Style marks the final release in a long line of upgrades for the Twinkle hardware. It is a solid send-off release with 171 songs included. Many American players will be familiar with it due to many machines in the country getting stuck running the newest version for the hardware. To get Extra Stage on 8th Style, you need to AAA a flashing 7 song, unlike previous versions. Comparing 8th Style to 1st Style shows just how far the series has evolved in the three years it lived on the Twinkle hardware. Subsequent released would see a dizzying array of improvements and tweaks along with years of frustrating timing problems due to the immature USB IO implementation.

Pretty impressive that 8th Style is made for run in Twinkle PCB, yet its styling doesn't look too old compare to early PC era.

This is the last game for the twinkle hardware developed by konami before konami transistioned to pc based hardware with beatmania iidx 9th style
