Hi. Two days ago I found your channel and I am so happy I did. You are a great teacher. I love the way you explain the process of the different things you share. I have been searching for information on how to make homemade cheese and this video was the answer! Certainly, God is good! Thanks!
This is my second video I found her the zucchini pineapple, and I only watch the intro and then I clicked on this one and then the intro she talked about how she was raised melanite, and she wants to share this knowledge with the next generation. So adorable. Did she say it at the beginning of this video I don't remember.
What I have learned from transitioning from a city girl to a homesteading/farming wife is that you really don’t need to go to the gym anymore! Every day is leg and ab day carrying feed and slop, and checking fencing or herding cattle. Squats happen twice a day during milking. Mozzarella day is arm day! 😂 That stretching work is no joke. Super lovely video! I greatly appreciate you sharing all you do. I’ve learned so much from you with your very specific instructions, and I also greatly enjoy watching you teach your kids so many amazing, valuable skills by your side! Those are some very lucky kids to have a mum like you!
I am SOOO excited to find you Ruth Ann! I’ve been literally watching you all day🤭🥰 Fresh mozzarella! Fresh Ricotta! Fresh yogurt! I’m a retired nurse and I’ve found my passion once again💗💗 Thank you🥰👏❤️
Thanks to your comment I could figured out what the other preparation was: ricotta! I'm from Argentina and I was wondering what it could be. I was about to Google raccatta and modify it until something come up. Thanks!
Your family is so fortunate that a mother would take all day to make the ingredients for Lasagna. I thought it was a chore to make and I didn't make the cheese. LOL
I don't comment much but I want to say how deeply I appreciate the details and how and why and your videos.. I've learned more from watching you than any other channel.. Blessings from my home to yours 🙏
@@Ruthannzimm I have taken so many classes on making cheese and walked away scratching my head, they did not make sense, one thing they have all wanted to do is use the microwave to heat the curds to cook them so they would hold together and stretch. Finally, I feel as though I have found someone who actually knows what she is talking about. Thank you, thank you, suzie
I just found your channel this past weekend.. I’ve been binge watching but I’m going to have to start from the very beginning and take notes. I always gravitated towards the Amish/Mennonite way of how they live of the land. Making things from scratch. Thank you for taking time to showing us how to make wonderful wholesome foods.
I can tell just by watching your videos how much you love to pour yourself into your homemaking and cooking. I am the same way. My home is my heart and when all the kids and grands come over for meals, that is when I am in my happy place. I am sure your family appreciates all the love and care you put into all that you do to keep them happy and healthy. Love your videos. That mozzarella looks AMAZING!
I’ve just found my dream content creator❤ You are like a breath of fresh air to us that need this knowledgeable person these days during the changing times BLESS YOU
This is by far the best cheese making video I've ever seen. I found your channel today and have really enjoyed watching. After this is over, im going to watch the butter churning.
I can hardly believe how much milk goes into the making of motzarella cheese and I was expecting you to have a pan FULL of cheese lol. Boy was I wrong! When I make a lasagna from now on I will “respect “the cheese a lot more. I will think of you and smile. You are an awesome mother🥹and homemaker
Ruth Ann, I am so glad I started watching your videos! I've always wanted to make my own cheese. I don't have cows & fresh milk or cream, but at least now I know the process. I am amazed by all you do & have to wonder what time you start in the morning & if you do the cheese, pasta, & make the lasagna all in one day? You're an amazing lady! God is absolutely good! Many Blessings from Deborah in West Virginia!
My husband lived in Italy for a few years. Every home he went into had pasta hanging everywhere! He said the matriarchs of the homes were called pasta mama’s. I love making pasta!
Hello Ruth Ann - I too am super excited to have your videos in my life now. You are exactly what I have been looking for, for years. Keep it simple, don't over complicate things. Farm life is hard work but so rewarding. I am now in a position in my life to be able to stay at home full time. We moved across the state of Texas (even moving the cows). I have raised Dutch Belteds now for over 12 years. I have only attempted mozzarella cheese once which was a failure. Your video has inspired me to give it another go. I think I just quite too soon. I can make all kinds of other cheeses, 2024 will be the year that I conquer mozzarella. Thank you again for all your videos. Keep them coming.
These are the kind of videos that I love to watch. You explained every little aspect of making the cheeses and noodles. Thank you for that. Just found your channel and loving your videos.
Ruth, your wedding manicure is perfect! As is your hair weave! What a glorious day! I'm so happy l found your channel. God Bless you all. Many prayers 🙏🏻 Nurse Judi in Scottsdale AZ and Eucharistic Minister 🙏🏻
I can honestly say, I’m blown away. I can’t look away. I’ve never seen anyone make mozzarella, ricotta and string cheese. It’s 1:10 am so I gotta pause it and finish it tomorrow. Well done!!!
Oh my gosh thank you for explaining mozzarella stretching process so well! I have not had success with mozzarella and now I feel I understand how to work it. This is the absolute best mozzarella video ever. And I love your cheese grater! The whole video is wonderful but for me the cheese was the highlight as I have been working to learn more things to be good at with my milk since we got a Jersey cow last year🙂
Oh my that looks like so very much fun. I love cheese but in my 73 years I haven’t ever tried to make it. I love to watch all your videos. Thank you so very much.
I've been binge watching your videos the past few days. Watching you make cheese from scratch makes me appreciate going to the store to buy cheese. Love all your videos!❤
You have the only video on YT which explains the process of low moisture mozzarella.. you don’t point out the process tricks but they are there . 👏👏👏 thank you!!
Little women, All I can say is kudos to you! You are truly an inspiration! You would definitely be somebody that I would want to be close to when everything turns to crap! Excuse my language but it's the truth! Those days are coming! You are truly blessed!
I am convinced there is nothing you can't do! Everything looks delicious and I very much appreciate you showing us how we can make the cheese, pasta and lasagna ourselves. You never fail to inspire me to step out and try something totally new. Thank you!
You are such a pro at making cheese . You have had such wonderful teachers. Now you are passing it onto your children. Such a great memory for your family.
I know this is something I would never have the patience to make but I just love watching your videos. It inspires me to do more from scratch and you are also nice company for me when I'm working alone in the house 😊
Hi RuthAnn, omgosh I must say, I was drooling, and I'm just stoked that you could absolutely say all your components of the lasagne were from your own farm....I love it. It looked just luscious! Happy birthday Kendrick! ❤😂🎉
I LOVE how down to earth you are! Just like our moms and grandmas are. Finger test and all. As moms we know first hand about cleanliness! So people may frown. 🙄 That’s how we learned. It’s not like we want to sicken our family. You are such an inspiration.
Hi Ruth Ann and sweet family! Lasagna is a labor of love for sure. I really enjoy watching your videos, it takes me back to a simpler time in my childhood when I had my nose in the bowl my mama would say, lol. My grandmother taught me many things and I learned to can, garden and many walks in the woods learning about plants. Thank you for taking the time to share your food, knowledge and most of all your family. Have a blessed day!
I have only recently found your channel but oh my! You are a pleasure to watch and learn from! I made your homemade hamburger and hot dog buns today! Turned out great!
My goodness girl the more I watch you the more you amaze me. You really save a lot of money by doing that I'm telling you . I know I said this before but Lord have mercy I wish you was my neighbor. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You are amazing! So very hard working and creative! You have my admiration! I thought I cooked from scratch but not like you! My cheese and pasta comes from the grocery store! I do can my tomatoes and dry my basil! However I’m 74 and slowing down!
You know,in one of your videos you pointed out that the viewer who said you didn't sound very educated was right as you have an 8th grade education, just like my mom did. After watching quite a few of your videos, I think I can hear what that viewer was hearing, but I don't think it's education related. You're more like a school teacher. You have, effectively, an enormous class size, and you're teaching at a very inclusive pace. It reminds me of how I was taught to cook, except you know more about herbs and simples than my family did. This is an excellent tutorial!
Thanks so much for this! Looks delish! The background music, what is it? I hear that high pitched whistle in all your videos and it’s catchy. Happy sounding. Yea I’ve been binge watching your videos. Covid has allowed that and I’m not complaining. You are a joy to watch. ❤️🙏☀️☕️🌻 Wishing you a blessed week full of great successes!
I found your channel thru farm house on Boone. This is the first video I have watched. I am speechless. I am exhausted just watching you🤣. I am going to have to dive in to your site. I am so impressed! Thank you for making these videos. From a 76 year old Mother of 6 children and 10 grandchildren. Loved it.
Love all your videos! You're so adorable, I enjoy listening and learning how you do things, and your kids are so cute and well mannered. Wish I was there when you sit down and try out what ever it was you cooked😄
Loved watching your most informative cheese making video. You are an excellent teacher. My mother made cottage cheese and butter all the time as we lived on the farm and had cows. Just found your channel and look forward to watching more videos.
I like to stretch some out to the size of my pinky. Then I use that to make stuffed crust pizza! Along with some homemade tomato sauce! You can also take the string cheese, roll it in bread crumbs, and deep fry it to make deep fried mozzarella sticks . Instead of shredding my cheese, I would roll it out into round or rectangle sheets for pizzas or lasagna. Oh my goodness I have to stop watching the video. Because now I’m starving! 😂 Everything looks delicious! Thank you for sharing! 😊
Thought watching someone's hand squeezing goop in a pot would be so relaxing...now I have to watch AGAIN to actually do this..your teaching is perfect.thx
Ruth Ann I found you a week or so ago. I love you showing how you make Mozzarella Cheese. I have only tried once and it was a fail. Your explanation about leaving the curds in the whey and keeping them warm and then practically hot makes me think I might try it again. Thanks for your patient teaching.
That looks amazing. It also looks like it took you all day to make that wonderful meal! You are a joy to watch and you are so full of information. So glad I found your channel.
I just want to let you know that I have tried mozzarella from several people on UA-cam. Your way was fantastic. I was able to work with the cheese in a wonderful way. Thank you so very much
God bless you and your dear family. You are so sweet, patient, and a great teacher! I made monzerrella a couple of times years ago and loved it! I want to buy some rennet!
I so enjoyed your video. I tried to make mozzarella about 10 years ago and I didn’t try again because of lack of confidence. God bless you and your family. I will try this again
Thank you so much for all of your videos! I make hot pockets with your homemade hamburger buns now and my entire family loves them! May the Lord bless you and your family for many years ✨🙏🏼♥️
You have me hook, line and sinker! I am about to turn 73 and learning so much from you. I binge watch your channel for peace of mind and soul. You certainly a blessing on earth. I made my own ricotta yesterday and making the mozzarella today to make the lasagna for dinner tonight. May you and your family be blessed!
Your children are so helpful! I love watching your family! Thank you for such good information. Your videos are very interesting and very well explained. 🙂
What a beautiful labor of love. You have amazing skills! Thank you for the great content. I just found your channel, and I’m looking forward to watching lots of episodes.

I've always wanted to make cheese! I'm so excited. I can buy raw milk in town and rennet they sell from a company in my state. I just bought the same cheese grater. I loved yours so much. Mine was awful. Thanks for another great video
Amazing video …love your way of teaching and you are a master cheese maker! Do you make Parmesan and aged cheddar as well? Would love to see how this is made. Xoxo
Thank you so much! I love the way you teach such great skills! I have been binge watching for a week now. Getting braver in my kitchen. Thank you again!
Hello I just now found your channel and your video was very informative! IT would be awesome to teach children how to make these cheeses! Science and a kitchen skill at the same time!
Someone recently put me on to using turban cloth for straining. It is absolutely wonderful….wish I had it 30 years ago. I’ve used the same piece over a dozen times, and it is barely even fraying at the edge. Not hemmed!
Wow. That’s quite a process. Your hands looked so red as you were handling the hot mozzarella curds. Doubt I can do that! But I still want to learn. Your lasagna looks amazing!
I just went through a long complicated recipe for mozzarella. It was my first time. You make it so simple!! I will be using your method the next time, maybe with lemon juice.
I'm 72 and cook very little anymore. But I love watching your channel because it's a relaxing and refreshing break from the chaos of the world.

How fun it was watching you make both cheeses and then putting it all to use.

What is clabber??
I was taught by a lady from Mexico to dilute the renet with milk, then stir the curds and add it to your large pot of milk.
I also use 1qt of saved whey from the last batch of cheese. I was also taught how to use
quajo/or goat gut to use as renet.
I've always wanted to make cheese! I'm so excited. I can buy raw milk in town and rennet they sell from a company in my state. I just bought the same cheese grater. I loved yours so much. Mine was awful. Thanks for another great video

Your videos always give me a kind of peace while watching. Your love of family and caring for them is amazing. Thank you for sharing.
