Happy 413, everybody!
This video is sadstuck, which means there's lots of hugging and crying. Enjoy, and let me know what you think. Critiques are welcome, as I'm trying to improve with every animation.
This is a rewrite done by Lily, aka tumblr user Prince Tavros. It is based off of "When She Loved Me" by Sara McLaughlin, used in Toy Story 2.

This is so sad. Aradia is viewed as a boring character, but she is a part of Homestuck as well. Her lover could not see her when she died, her robot form could not last, then they meet in the dream bubbles. They still cannot be together, then fef and eriden come along, and we all know the rest. 😭.*WHY DID THEY DO THIS?!?!?!*

This is a complete misrepresetation of dead!Aradia. The exact reason why her story is so heartbreaking is because when she died, she wasn't even sad as *she lost her ability to feel any emotion at all.* Then when she became Aradiabot, she was just very confused, violent and broken in the head, so naturally her relationship with Sollux was tearjerking because it took actual, active trying for her to be even able to feel something even slightly reminiscent to love.
She returned to her original cheerful/creepy/lovestruck self only after her God Tier ascension.

Well, I know that the person who sang this song was Broadway Aradia, and she had all sorts of sad covers. As for me, I cried the first 5 times I listened to the song, and had a very vivid image in my head of what it would look like animated. I remember being in bed, and I thought about this scene (before I made it) ua-cam.com/video/PZZZ4_UGyxI/v-deo.html and I started crying.
So I'm glad that I could convey that strong emotion to other people as well.

Tears. They're everywhere. I really like this because most people view Aradia as one of the most "boring" characters in Homestuck when actually, she was probably one of the most important parts in the trolls' session of SGRUB, being the time player. People also seem to forget that Aradia was not entirely unemotional and had no feelings, clearly she felt some sort of emptiness after Sollux killed her because she went straight from wild and adventurous to hollow robot. And maybe she did feel more pain when Sollux started hanging out with Feferi. Either way, Aradia is a fairly interesting character as is every character in Homestuck. She doesn't deserve to be loved any more or less.
This was the first Sollux/Aradia video to make me cry.

now i just want to see a cannon character interaction where aradia meets with feferi and she thanks feferi for keeping sollux company while she was gone. She would then ask if she was willing to do it again with more people when she passes away for good seeing as how assuming karkats blood does not shorten his lifespan she would be the first to go. Feferi agrees. sweeps later when she was reaching the end of her life the trolls have drifted apart from each other and only sollux equius and tavros decide to show up to give her a final farewell before leaving not wanting to see her die. feferi arrives a minute before she slips away and reminds aradia on what they agreed on. aradia musters a simple thank you and gives her a letter before slipping away. it would end with feferi reading the letter to the three others outside attempting to hold back tears. the letter ends with "i deeply love all of you"
Oh damn you this was beautiful and I am crying THANKS FOR THE FEELS. (I mean I knew what I was getting myself into with that title but still, that was more feel-y than I was anticipating, seriously great job.)

And my friend called me as scheduled to tell me to get on my homework, and I could barely talk to her without sniffling and sounding like a baby. She just has such a natural beauty look to her. I love how you didn't make aradia a pencil thin cardboard cut out with generic emotion, you could see her as a real person and that was refreshing. And sollux isn't some anime looking hunk, he looks like an attractive normal young man. Fantastic job.
