The steering is heavier for good reason actually… When your going through sharp turns it gives you better control,precision and overall smoothness vs a light steering is very touchy and can easily cause over correction making it more difficult to steer and control the car efficiently.

I'm trying to save up to put a manual transmission in her and run pressure compression test to see where I stand to put a turbo on her. The one video I watched awhile back this guy had I think it was an 02' maxima se and he did manual swap hes the one to inspire me to do this but ppl are sayin it's a waste of time and money i know its gonna cost $9-10gs which is some shit but I want more power. I'm tryin to be unique creative that's what guy enthusiasts do.

Other than that these motors can run about 8-10 pounds of boost (which is the most practical) for these motors non opened. You gotta M/T swap first obv but im sure you guys already know that. @greenman640 The reason why the 8th gen sucks rn is because ECUTEK hasn’t supported the 8th gen maximas yet, so anyone that has actually swapped the F52 transmission in their 8th gen has to wait for ecutek to actually start driving around!
@johnfeola8606 I paid about 21-22k for mine with 53xxx miles on it.. I'd definitely check the carfax to make sure it hasn't been beat on or in an accident.. if that all checks out fine then yea I'd say that's a decent deal. Test drive if you can

The sunroof and sunshade are 2 buttons. Slightly push it back to the first trigger point for the shade, push it all the way back to the 2nd trigger for the roof.

I have no regrets, the car is badass.

750 owner & I still regret getting rid of my maxima your a damn lie. Beautiful car especially in white. Complain all you want that car made 70k without any hiccups and only oil change while my bmw failed at 32k with its air suspensions. It totaled 13k to fix those wheel alignment, compressor, and left drive axel. Thank the heavens I have the most comprehensive warranty for the bmw. I depleted my maxima warranty and it still drove like the first day I brought it at 70k so stop the bs!
Yes! I have a 2016, paid cash for it platinum in white and I travel from Iowa to Texas 2 times a month back and forth. It’s been great and I’ve had it for almost 2 years. Only problem I’ve had with putting that many miles on it (knock on wood) is the ac compressor which was a pain in the ass to change.. but I also ran the ac 24/5 pretty much. In the Texas heat. And that was leaving the car on for 24 hours straight some of those drives.. the only complaint I have is the blind spots with the back doors/ rear being so high. Oh and maybe it being so low to the ground because some parking lots entrances it’ll scrape a little. Everything else is damn near perfect.

And yes the Nissan maxima from 2009 and up as well as their other models come with a CVT Transmission … thats to help with keeping the car RPMS low and consistent while shifting through gears and gain better gas mileage… but to maximize the horsepower and overall performance and speed just shift it over into Driver Sports mode ( DS ) on the dash and that will allow the tachometer to rev higher and further between shifting gears giving you more horsepower equaling more speed … over 300 horsepower to be exact 💯
I got news for you, my friend paid 55k for his GMC a couple years ago and it looks like this car inside. It's not much better out there unless you find the right luxury vehicles, then the maintenance requirement goes way up.

The Maxima has Hydrostatic power steering so he is correct it's hydraulic with electric assist. Its basically backwards at low speeds its heavy and at high speeds its light. Several reviewers said it made them uneasy at high speeds.

I mean they're fun to drive but you're kinda right about the interior being lower quality than what you expect. But it's a problem with all the Japanese automakers base luxury trim. it's really just their most basic interior with leather seats. Toyotas interiors are extremely outdated for one, especially their displays, & as someone who sells cars I can tell you Nissan as one of the best, if not the best displays/media in the game, very responsive. The trim I have has all the luxuries, is fast as hell, & has an INCREDIBLE sound system, on of if not the best stock system I’ve heard in any vehicle, & I’ve driven almost every brand and trim

Not really....You might get a few more nonsense features however, all models come with the same 300HP V6 motor. To me it's all about the driving experience. I just traded my 2016 S model in for a 2022 SV model. Both are exactly the same except for a few new upgrades. Non the lee the same car. The base model Maxima comes with most standard features other cars don't come with. The S model in my opinion is just a epic as all the models.

That all depends on the trim you choose, the SR has that Superior leather trim that you're looking for
Everything is perfect in the car except steering slightly on heavy side and thats also just due to pretty heavy motor 3.5L (V6) in a small body.
