My husband & I are really enjoying your videos with your son. He is a nice boy & I'm sure he is good company. My husband used to take our son (who is now 50!) when he was your son's age in our Kenworth. Good memories for both of them. We enjoy your videos.
Most new drivers are company drivers and have no contact with brokers. Could be experienced drivers that are new owner/ops. Most likely a broker that has a Napoleon complex and just can’t help micro managing his drivers.
Thanks for taking us along with you Alice. Your videos usually show up in the top 3 when I go on to UA-cam. It's never to early to start Bert driving. Tim Gentry's son Braxton is 11 years old and he drives trucks all over their lot. Most of his trucks are manuals. He can back up a trailer like a pro. Stay safe uout there. Love you guys.
Hi Alice & Bert. No cheese curds this time? They need to give you the curds. Hahaha I like this route also and that steak place looked pretty cool. I'm looking forward to hearing some more about that other Peterbilt. Y'all stay safe.
Alice I forgot the name of the song at 6:47. One of the main reasons we all watch Trucking Together is how much you guys appreciate us. I think that you really need to invest in a "goat cart" and the animal to pull it. That would be wild LOL. Bert's Hauling Service
Another great video! I can so relate to having a good steak at home. Lisa marinates her’s before frying and they are so good that restaurants do not impress me. I use a 3 pound hammer to whack those tires, kinda fun taking out my frustration on them … 😊
Hi Alice and Bert great video of your trip and you two are livin the dream rolling through that beautiful countryside and some nice places to eat just need Bert to take the reigns and back that baby into the dock so wishing you both safe miles cheers from Tim in queensland australia ( keep on trucking )
sorry to hear that.. market is tough in trucking also if a new and even sometimes as an experienced driver depending on what you are looking for, but if you don’t mind getting feet wet somewhere and getting a year or so under your belt you’ll find a lot more and better paying options.
@@TruckingTogether thats what im gonna have to do find a company that will help pay for the CDl classes an go from there was looking at Roehl...my parents drove flatbed for a company that went to train derailments..so thinking maybe flat bed just dunno yet still thinking long an hard on it..

My last return load went from Virginia to small town Iowa. Had to deal with the app tracking. Seems to be happening more often. I turn my phone off during sleeper berth as well. That’s ME time. Looks like the boss(son) enjoyed the trip . Thanks for the video Alice.
Don’t worry Alice! My wife is the same way when she has a steak. Any restaurant we go to she has to get it medium-well. If I cook it, she’ll want it medium if not just above medium-rare. I have a Traeger smoker at home and she will not eat brisket unless I smoke it. 😊
love it , don’t question it. truckin aint easy . 18 yr broil experience that steak looked well prepared , to me . cant stand broker calls, lemmee drive ! stay safe
@@TruckingTogether oh ok I just know every time I have a tql load it’s the same thing they even call you all night long and wake you up every three hours

Sounds like you got an Uber freight load. They started holding back the pickup and delivery numbers three months ago. Follow their support icon, say you are there, say you have an issue with pickup number, and it will show a screen with all the numbers for the load. Annoying butt easy workaround, lol.
Greetings from Helena Montana. Arco is also the home of the Idaho Submarine Memorial, there in the city park by downtown. It features the sail ("conning tower") from a decommissioned nuclear submarine. The sail shows the hull number -- 666. The great irony is Arco is right in the middle of a very heavily Mormon part of Idaho, and yet the mark of The Beast is featured in the city park. Near Arco is the Craters of the Moon National Monument. Interesting volcanic landscape. Worth a look if you have to plan a 34 hour reset. I-15 North out of Idaho and through Montana is a beautiful drive. That rest area you did your overnight at is basically on the Continental Divide. "Rather chilly" can be an understatement!
Looks like your hitting a few 2 lane roads, like SHMIDT likes ( When he is on the road, currently doing some HARVEST equipment maintenance, as not enough $$$ to warrant firing up FIRST CLASS thirst of FUEL on the CHEAP RATES he's had recently.) Cheers from Deer Park, TX. as I'm getting used to a NEW Windows 11 PC & not used to learning WINDOWS ALL OVER AGAION... 🙂
Sometimes you feel like it even though you know you can't do it when the broker wants to babysit you and ask you to send things and be tracked and everything else you just want to send them this 🖕🖕 and tell them track this
Uh, Alice, didn't Martin put a rebuilt engine into Tiny just before you moved out of California? It seems strange you're having issues with starting already?? I've taken that Idaho 26 from Twin Falls to Dubois (where you rejoin I-15), it's a bit slower than the I-state but much more scenic IMO. I was in that "steakhouse" in Lima in 2019 and you cooked your own steak (did they change that?)! At least that way if you cook your own steak ya can't blame the cook!!😁😁
The truck I am driving isn’t Tiny. We had Tiny and my truck which I call “High Maintenance”. Tiny was actually sold a couple months back now to a guy in Iowa
@@TruckingTogether And paying for it at the till, you been driving all day why would you cook your own dinner. It always tastes better when someone else cooks it. 🥩
At 2:19, Robert didn’t want to back it up but earlier this week, an 8 year old Ohio girl drove herself 10 miles to Target! And only hit one mailbox!
Luckily!.

Could it be that broker babysits everyone because the "new" truckers are clueless & don't care?

You have great scenery in your videos and as to the broker Alice if you think about the new drivers as well as company’s it’s changed from years past.

Is it shorter to cut off at Dillon Montana and go over to Whitehall Montana that it is to go all the way up 15 and over home steak pass
I went that way through Dillion
