This playthrough of "Stranded: Alien Dawn" is on hard difficulty. We start of small, and quickly set up a fenced in perimeter and kill zone.

Nice tips. One suggestion, outside your protection rectangle put 2 or 3 more walls on each corners. This will give your survivors line of sight to shoot them before they reach your maze. Hope it helps.
Yes, I would also make the side to side passageways of the maze extend at least to the line of the walls to increase the time the bugs are in it, giving you more time to shoot them down before they get to the gate.
The other spaceship thing that crashed near your lander crushed the gun and some of your supplies
Thanks for catching that! In a way it's cool that stuff like that can happen, but it feels like it raised the difficulty a lot.
Awesome vid one thing i noticed in episode 51 the lightning rods weren't connected to batteries. Once struck lightning rods can charge batteries they are connected to. Keep up the great work 👍.
The seed RICH-BATH is very rich in ores and stone. I've started it twice and crashed in the same area .Everything is there and a new grain i've never seen before. Plenty of DODO birds which killed the first round of attackers.

Why does everyone seem to miss the big red patches of grain grass at the beginning of their games? It's been there since the game first came out but I haven't seen anyone observe it or grow it. Sorry if you find it (I'm typing while not having seen the whole video yet). Everyone goes on about how important grain is but only ever seem to talk about graincob. At 6:14/6:15 you highlighted it for just a second. It gives 2x the amount of graincob.

There is grain grass just outside of your base. Description is Tall Grass. The yield of grain is double of grain cob with better extreme temp ranges. The grow rate is 2-3 day longer. People overlook this resource because it looks so much like the harvestable hay resoures.

Also psychopaths don't show emotion so I don't think Ken is a psychopath plus his happiness doesn't stack and it doesn't last very long for each death. In my opinion Connor is the better combat unit because he fires ranged weapons twice as fast
Oh, I didn't realize he fires ranged twice as fast. I just didn't like that he gets sick often because of the eye implant. He was pretty good otherwise.
@@JoelDurant his eye irritates the hell out of me but once he gets in a relationship his happiness squares away quick. Also, he gets his own room first so that he will intimidate less. They also need to fix the starvation issue you'll have 50 cooked meals and someone is starving to death. But, I obviously love the game I am at 123 hours in...fml lol
I lost a survivor today because after an attack 38 bandages were used and I had 146 first aid kits and they couldn't use them. They may want to change the name to bandage simulator...lol
Are finding the update made things a lot harder?
@@JoelDurant 331 spiders 14 broodmother shriekers incoming at one time every 4 to 5 days...definitely has made it ridiculous. Plus now there is a bug where the healer is unable to reach the survivor. I have sent them the 3 save files on that.
The pistol was probably located where debris fell on it. Restart the map, pause, and start a build order in that area. This will prevent debris from falling in your pistol. Also, if you just start by telling your survivor to equip the pistol they will just go find it and equip.
I just started this map and sure enough the first debris that lands does so right around where the gun was.
I had baby shriekers on the first wave...

You've seen by now that the bugs aren't using your maze because you need to put the front gate in. The gate is one of the keys to going through your maze. Just having a gap is not going to work.
