      Yes! A lot of them aren’t even decent people, and they don’t care about bettering themselves morally or otherwise. Hiding behind the “I’m a soldier, you need to thank me for my service” facade keeps them stagnant, ultimately. They don’t care about being total shit bags in their personal lives because, hey, they served our country.

    Reminds me of my dad. Whenever he'd come home from work or whatever we'd all just go hide in our bedrooms until he went to bed. We didn't even realize when we were doing it but it happened every. Single. Day. And then when he had a long-term girlfriend move in she and her daughter did it too. Then when he got married she and her two kids did it as well. Then when her mother moved in she did the same. It never once crossed his mind he may be bringing this on. Recently he was yelling at me for some stupid shit and I'm in my 30s now. I told him if he wanted to talk to me like a child I'd gladly cut him out of my life like I did my alcoholic abusive mother. (Shocking those two would get married and magically his current wife is also a drunk.) So he knew I'd do it. Best decision I've ever made. My brother won't speak to her either. But then he started in with this diatribe about how I didn't appreciate him and all this shit. So I told him when he'd complain about everyone locking ourselves in our bedrooms for hours and hours day after day rather than risk spending even one minute with him maybe he should have considered it had something to do with the fact that he's an asshole. Perhaps yelling at your kids over nothing (Like we literally were not allowed to laugh. We'd be punished if he heard us laughing among other things and I swear that is true.) and threatening them is not a good way to treat other people. Perhaps he brought at least part of it on himself. He could not process it.
    This is the kind of person Ashley is. These people cannot see their own dysfunction. It's not "kids these days" or anything specific to one generation. My father is 60. He's been like this a long time and my grandfather is the same way. He's over 85. This is not a new thing and we need to start forcing these people to get help and hold them responsible. That's going to go a long way in helping this society we live in. Now whenever my dad is a dick I dress him down and I'm extremely blunt. I've always spoken to him without fear but until recently I didn't unload on him whenever he did anything that kind of pissed me off. I'd let it slide. That was not doing him any favors or me either. This is what we're dealing with here. We MUST hold these people responsible and force them to do what's best for everyone and get their shit sorted. All you Borderlines out there, SORT YOUR SHIT OUT!
    This has been a public service announcement.

    1:55 EXACTLY the description of my ex who is also named Ashley. She'd act like a bitch without realizing it and make snarky comments to friends but when someone brought it up in a polite way she'd freak out, play the victim and cry that everyone was ganging up on her. And just like the caller Ashley was self-delusional in thinking she was a patient and understanding person. Very BPD and bipolar - You feel bad for them but they're so fucking crazy they drive you away.

    I love Adam but he's doing one of my pet peeves - using the term "nationality" instead of "ethnicity". The "nationality" of everyone involved in this clip is AMERICAN - their nation of origin (I'm guessing on Ashley). Ethnicity is your racial ancestry.
    Oh and as usual Adam is spot on about Asians - when they're crazy, they're off the rails crazy. It's never low grade issues, a little therapy, maybe one med, etc. It's always Kathy Bates hobbling crazy.

    I'm borderline. I'm tired of the shit talk about us like we're evil. Most of us are very insightful to our fuckedupness. We are very loving and passionate...but we hate ourselves for the way we are...and we know people are going to run away...but we hate it when they do...because we LOVE them. And everything we feel...whether it be love, hate, sadness or fear, we feel it 10x harder than what normal people do. If anyone thinks we choose this, they're crazier than we are.

      +Stephanie Rivers I agree with you. I love Adam & Drew, but they had their bad moments. They both could have showed Ashley more compassion. I actually don't think she's Borderline. People with Borderline Personality Disorder don't usually have insight. Ashley knows something is wrong with her, and she'll willing to try therapy and/or medication. People with that attitude should be respected and encouraged!
      People with BPD generally blame _everybody else except_ themselves!

    • @JaneDoe-zr4px
      @JaneDoe-zr4px 6 років тому +1

      the problem with her suffering is that she spreads it to everyone around her. it's hard to have sympathy for someone who makes your life miserable. it's made worse by the fact that she's likely a hot chick - most of the time you can tell by a woman's voice and way of speaking. being a hot chick means the world (especially males) allow you to get away with murder all your life. they also get used to an insane amount of attention from birth, and when they don't get it, they freak out. they have no idea how to be a regular person who has to earn affection and take consequences for actions. EVERY attractive woman I've ever known has been a complete fucking mess.
