Dimash didn't speak or understand Chinese/Mandarin, and was still able to learn the song phonetically in only one week at the time of that performance.
Neal Sualog: The song is extremely sad and mournful; based on a real life romantic tragedy. Of course, for those like myself who do not understand Mandarin, a little extra work is involved to see a video of the performance with translations in the video itself, or the description. You are entitled to your opinion; but it feels lazy.
