Yeah he had a really offputting demeanor. Dick move to put down the guys doing the manual labor. Terrible vibes and I hate his face and little shitty ponytail
Polvo is legit one of my all time fave bands (after Ladle) and I have the whole discography on vinyl and CD. Great to hear them getting some love! Also NGL, Tom Scharpling is a better host than Tim, it's his bread and butter. Whereas Tim is a better musician and surreal media artist than Tom, as that is his strength. I love them both but The Best Show is called that for a reason. Great ep!
I never seen album covers like those before the slight distortion was very unsettling and I’ll def be checking some of those bands out once my spores come in
When they had the UK announcement I thought they were announcing Tim’s stand up character was going to be the guest on the show! I’d like to see that if there’s a guest host again 🤔
Whoever busted out the Yamaha Portasound PSS-140 keyboard demo song is my favourite of the Trinity from now on. What was your favourite sound? Mine was Fireworks, of course.
Makes me so happy you recognized that song!! The soundtrack to my youth. Fireworks is the greatest but I don’t think there’s that many bad sounds on it. I used to have a Portasound set up on the show but it had some awful buzz so I had to take it out until I figure that out.
@@christopher2327 Even Tim, who is so damn smart that he's cursed with cynicism, can't penetrate Vic's aura of pure light. He's a good guy. Straight up Good Guy.
Dude I remember hearing Priests from the Shovel Trunk even before they released "Sink Off" and when they got huge I really didn't mind. I just talked to the lead singer a year ago after a show.
I asked in the live chat & even Shazam ed. No answer. I’m assuming it was on one of Enoch Light’s many, many instrumental albums on his Project 3 label. Hope that helps.
wow that was great from Tom Sharpling. I dont even remember the name of the old host of OHL. Jim Heidi or something. he was kind of a Beatles-nerd, and super-mean to his on-camera-employees. i dont even wanna know what this Heidi-guy did to his off-camera-employees. but now that he's gone , we all have our peace and soul back.
Tom is too mean spirited for me. Sometimes it feels like this show doesn’t realize it has socially awkward nerdy fans who aren’t used to being interviewed by comedians they enjoy. Give them a break, damn.
It's intended to entertain the audience. Conflict is typically more entertaining than two people being sweet to each other. Fans are not often trained in broadcasting or naturally compelling conversationalists, so the entertainment has to come from somewhere.

Calling them the "dumbest people" is a great call on his end. Little loser
Watched it live. Tom is the GOAT.
What a funny guy. Right up there with Tim, but in a different office. I'm excited to explore his robust archive of red hot content.

It's the rough around the edges style of Tim that brings me to the yard.
Oh man the puppets were so cool. Nice work getting them on, Vic
