Sir your suppose to start with the adjustment valve closed (0 Psi) then slowly open to zero the second gauge which will be approx 30 psi. The way you did it can damage the gauges.
I've read that 5% - 8% is the range you're hoping to see, and that numbers as high as 12% aren't horrible. Once you get up to 15% or so, it's time to start looking for - and correcting - the cause. I'm sure others will see it differently.
