Dude, this game has been so fun. I picked it up over the steam winter sale this year and haven't been able to put it down. There is just so much to this game
Thank you so much for this game. This reminded me of playing the free game that came on the Welcome disk when I bought my BBC B computer in 1983. Keep up the brilliant work
This game looked fascinating and reminded me of my old Angband playing days, so I have picked it up today. Hoping it'll give me some interesting DnD inspirations as well. Thank you!
I've heard of Angband but never played, I hope you enjoy mate And I've had many people say the Warsim random race generator is great for DND, you can use it freely outside of the game in the menus too :)
Just got the game. This is my first text based adventure game. Watched some videos on it and it looked really fun and creative. My last text based were the books of Ian Livingstone. Dice and note taking. Though on this I can't hold the page if I make a bad choice (if you know you know ha ha ha ). Absolutely love this and look forward to seeing how a long game plays out. I've been dipping into it trying different angles. I love the versatility of options 🎉❤🎉
Thank you mate, I'm glad to hear you're enjoying it. And yess I used to love those Ian Livingstone books when I was a kid :) Hope you continue to enjoy Warsim mate
text games confuse me because its hard to keep track of everything im doing but this game probably confuses me the least out of all the text games ive tried. cool cool
Haha hell yeah I'm glad to hear it. I think people get intimidated by Warsim's look but when you give it a go you see it's simple to control usually, just a ton of stuff going on in the background.
Thank you for this game. Was one of the very few I could play on my first shitty laptop years ago. I still love every minute I’m playing it to this day.
Any mods available? DLC user created added to plus the game like medevel to modern research and development, more upgrade, more quest tab menu were there uniqc missions.
There are 'mods' I made that can be loaded as save files, they are: DFMod - A dwarf fortress themed save SkyrimMod - A skyrim themed save Spooktaria - A halloween themed save UberhardMod - A save with a ton of very overpowered races WarbandMod - A mount and blade themed save

I would really love a dedicated series from you. I really wanna watch someone play the game, but I just can't find any good UA-camrs/commentators (like yourself) to watch.
Like a full start to finish playthrough? I could definitely do that! There are so pretty fun lets plays on youtube like Tomato's one, but the problem is a lot of the older ones are so heavily outdated now... I suppose my old ones too. Cheers for the comment mate, I'll definitely try and get a full playthrough done :)
YES! A START TO FINISH PLAY THROUGH! Or let's play kinda deal, it doesn't have to be with explanatory elements - just have fun with it like you normally would - or explain everything idc haha. Yes exactly they're pretty old by this point (and I appreciate your more... articulate style and down to earth enthusiasm). You also only played one year in your last playthroughs even though you said you'd go for 25 years hahahaha...btw go for the hardest difficulty :) CHEERS!
@@alexanderthemandd569 Haha cheers mate, will keep in mind. I think the solution for me this time is to record them all in one go just break them down. Thanks for the feedback and motivation!
@@warsimtherealmofaslonaoffi6835 I'm humbled mate, thanks a bunch. Excited to see how strong you can manage to become 👊...If you can even survive with that gambling addiction hahaha.
I'm really, really enjoying the game so far, though I do have a few peeves First off, it seems adventurers don't restock the way independent kingdoms do? In effect, this means I've purged my current save of any adventurer interactions at all thinking they would refresh, which feels a little stinky Second, as a necromancer, the options seem a little limited. I can upgrade the amount of corpses I get per year and how many rot, both of which kind of end up essentially meaningless once your economy pumps a little bit because any amount of lands will generate so much money, you will outright buy many, many times more corpses in your throne room than the corpse collection upgrades will ever yield, not even counting the steady drip of every dead soldier in a successful battle. Kind of wish there was a bit more depth to necromancy, a more fleshed out tech tree, as well as some way to see what the battle rating of a raised corpse actually is. Third, from what I've gathered, once you have a billion gold and can make teratons, you can get the golden spire, which is neat but unless you cheese arena betting like crazy, I can't imagine you'll ever see a teraton, meaning by the time you can access whatever they're used for, you've already exhausted every meaningful decision you'll ever make that save. Not sure how to address that, but perhaps it opens up a whole new section of the game for all I know, and this isn't the issue I see it as.
Hey mate I'm glad you're enjoying the game and I appreciate all the feedback. It would be cool if adventurers restocked tbh I'll have to note that As for the necro stuff I'm always happy to hear ideas on it, I added it and since then it's been such a nightmare the amount of balancing and stuff I've tried... but I'll keep trying As for the terraton you can get there in time without any kind of cheesing by simply reaching empire mode and going on a land frenzy, a lot of income is based on total lands so if you get to the point you can wipe 100+ land empires out per turn you can grow massive in time and then the income flows in like crazy
12:53 if you are using this in a screen reader, does the screen reader read out the color of the font so you can tell it's weak versus strong or are they sorted in Weak versus strong order
Improves army damage, can offer military advice which betters depending on skill, can allow for the ability to send troops in different presets ie all but peasants And a few other things that off the top of my head I can't remember
This could be improved on - a bit more systematic, and the main exploration game loop isn't present at all. And don't disparage your own throne room like this, there are many useful ppl queing there. Later many of the useless encounters are handled by the stewart or just filtered completely anyway.
You’re awesome! Thank you for the uploads and all your continuous hard work!
Thank you mate!

Nope, but the screen reader will read out the strength itself on each line so you can tell because that's all the colour is based on
