I wonder why all the other airlines that use A380s and think that it's a nightmare and costs go through the roof don't sell them to Emirates since it's the only airline that can make them work.
Emirates were just in the right position of the earth to make it work. Dubai is kinda near the centre of the world and is the centre of the Arab world.
the fuel doesn't have to come from dubai, only the funding. Emirates is state-owned unlike Air France and LuftHansa and ANA that are also a380 operators
@@tomAkelife-ff9tf Subsidizing with funds other than fuel is true for many countries and Japan is one of them. By the way I never heard that Lufthansa is complaining about their A380. Maybe you write what their problem is?
Probably the oil money they have which keeps Airbus a380 running running besides they don't have domestic routes like other airlines have to offer to its national.
Before I watch your video, to answer your question, here are the reasons why A380 only worked with EK 1. Geographical location 2. Target market 3. They have their own hub airport and dedicated terminal 4. Products on board are competitive 5. Locals here supports their own 😉
A WONDERFUL JET !! THE FLYING PUBLICS FAVORITE , SOME AIRLINES THAT OWN THEM DON'T NO HOW TO RUN THEIR BUSINESS, TO CHEAP TO FLY THESE WONDERFUL JETS INTO THE 2040'S !!! JUST KEEP SPENDING MONEY ON NEW AIRCRAFT AND THROW OUT THE MOST BEAUTIFUL JET THEY AREADY OWN !!! GO AIRBUS❤❤
The problem is that other airlines will have spec'd the interiors for their business models - Emirates would need to substantially overhaul interiors to align them with the rest of their fleet. It's more likely for the likes of Emirates to buy parts from scrapped A380s.
Good answer, To strip out old seats, equipment and re-equipping the aircraft with equipments that match their own A380 would be costly, not to mention painting too. Interior and exterior likewise.
They will most likely get the parts of these planes than buy the airplane itself unless they are under 10 years old and really cheap in which case it would make sense to buy it and fly it for the next 15 or more years to come
Emirates commited in thev2023 Dubai airshow to buy any A380 in good condition at the right price . Changing the interior will be costly but worthwhile for them in the long run. They are already changing the interior of their own A380s to update them to the standard they want
Main reasons that flying can't say are: 1. Cheap fuel 2. State subsidies Economies of scale are great and all, but don't do enough outweigh the increased fuel cost. It's obvious that qatar is getting far less subsidies from their government and hence are always talking about phasing out a380.
Yes the special treatment by the Emirates 🇦🇪 Government regarding the value of the airplane fuel that they are charged on every outgoing flight from there Hub. That is not possible in the European Hub for BA, Air France and Lufthansa 😊
Yes, Emirates loses billions, and then the government subsidies them by loaning them money at ultra low interest rates. Not to mention the EU taxpayers who were forced to fund the development costs of the A380 and now will never be repaid because repayment was tied to deliveries.
Or ANA, which only has 3 and only uses them on 1 route (NRT-HNL). They also only got them to get Airbus on their side in their attempt to take control of Skymark, which had gone into bankruptcy before paying for their ordered A380s.

Emirates buy latest manufactured A380
Before I watch. British Airways, Lufthansa and ANA are all using A380 with no plan of phase out.
Mostly ANA.British and Lufthansa a380s are over 7 years old easily
Lies again? Fly Emirates Grab Car
Emirates were just in the right position of the earth to make it work. Dubai is kinda near the centre of the world and is the centre of the Arab world.
dubai is nowhere in the center of arab world.
Basically they operate A380 like low cost carriers operate 737 / A320
The A380 is super cool!
When they move to DWC EK can grow by adding flights instead of needing the biggest planes available
Doesn't matter how tiny your profit is. If you can scale it enough, it will produce massiv amounts of revenue
Go big or go home is what I think of about the A380
Subsidized fuel costs also can't hurt to operate such large planes!
Dubai doesn't have oil to subsidize. You are mistaken with Abu Dhabi (Etihad's base).

Please do the long version of this videos..
Long live the best Airline and Plane
Location of Dubai is Key, pretty much center of the planet !

1:13 why are they using water on the a380?
Location, location, location
That’s the one, coupled with the perfect Airport designed to accommodate them all.
Would it make sense for Emirates to buy them from other airlines and repurpose them?

Having oil underneath their feet helps...
How is it that there are no flights to Malta Direct from dubai?

Emirates actually acquired 123 A380s, not 116.

Nice but I feel like you guys are running out of ideas
Agreed. Sometimes the explanation of the videos sounded like brain surgeries..
Other aviation channels are milking 737 max hours problems for now
✈️
Why
Welcome to simple flying…proudly sponsored by emirates
Guys, it’s getting annoying
Other airlines are for short term profits
가즈아!
Too many Emirates videos
This topic has been worn out already.
My thought is this does not bode well for GLOBAL.
