I am convinced you life in some of the best neighborhoods because every time I watch your hauls they are crazy!! Like my goodwill could never…. Good for you! I have recently been trying to raise my msrp and leaving a lot of stuff behind but realizing as only one person sourcing listing shipping etc I need to focus on high price items.
@@ItsJanelleNicoleAlso agree. My Goodwills charge high prices and most brands in our town are Walmart and occasional Woolrich, Loft and Eddie Bauer. Definitely not an affluent area.
There are so many resellers in my area that it's almost impossible to get out of anywhere with so many high end brands, none the less substantial pieces! Having to work on my envy a little bit with this one 🫣😂 Amazing haul, you're absolutely killing it! Love watching you shop!
I work at a local to me thrift store and we get alot of quince mostly bedding items every now and then we come across other items such as clothing and kitchen linens bath linens they are pretty pricey new. I know their sheet sets sell well and the rope blankets do as well. So good call with the quince coat.
You find the most amazing stuff. I enjoy your thrifting videos. The thriftstores arw a good place to up your wardrobe fir a fraction of the price. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Marita, I am a new reseller, and I have been following you, since I have started. Can you please do a video about accepting offers and sending offers. This could be about how much to accept on a higher priced item or lower. Also the time line on when to send out offers. Sometimes the offers are really ridiculous, and it's frustrating that many do not know the work involved from sourcing to listing an item. I love your approach in explaining, how and what you do in the reselling business. You have been a valuable tool in learning this! keep it up.
Not Marita of course but this is a topic that interests me so here is my 1.5 cents: I I've personally had to struggle in not being frustrated or insulted by low-ball offers (esp. those from fellow resellers!). The best insight I've heard about this is that even a low-ball offer is real interest in a marketplace that is overloaded with options & therefore should be respected & seen as a business possibility. My trick with low-ball offers: I send a counteroffer that has a simple message ("Thank you for your interest! I hope this counteroffer is fair," etc.) that doesn't reveal my frustration & a price that is fair for both parties. The amazing thing is that sometimes my counteroffers result in sales-not always, of course-but sometimes. And "sometimes" is better than "never"-which is the result I would've gotten if I had automatically declined all low-ball offers. Also, the process of counteroffering seems to be an action approved by the algorithms (or so I've been told) &, at the very least, count-offering can work as a release valve for our feelings of frustration (or so I feel). Finally, I would just add that, like it or not, low-ball offers are an inevitable part of the reality of reselling (unless you turn off the offer option) & therefore we resellers must learn to deal with them. If we can do so with a good attitude (or an attempt at a good attitude) we probably come out better than if we don't. Peace.
I’m so amazed every time I see Zara stuff sell so well in the US. It’s a fast fashion brand and here they go for so low. Ted Baker is such a beautiful brand!
I definitely don't pick up many Zara items but I have noticed that not all of their items are created equally. I ended up selling the Zara tweed blazer within 3 days on Poshmark. I love Ted Baker! 🥰❤️
Hey,I just wanted to tell you that I really appreciate that you give us qll the descriptions you use to sell your clothes. Other resellers do not do. I have been shopping for clothes in colors and styles you buy to resell. I am a plus size lady so it is a little harder though. Thanks for the info.. ❤
Love your personality & videos. Positive, helpful, & straight to the point. Might want to add “coat dress” for that dress you were listing as a trench (of course it can be worn as a short sleeved coat, but likely is not fully-lined like a trench would be, so it’s a dress styled like one). Also, not sure if this is annoying or helpful, but I *think* these are the pronunciations: EsSPREE Carole is said like Carol DAYna BUCKman & Nat NAST (like nasty) Thank u - look forward to your next one!
Could you do a video going over analytics for a month such as revenue/inventory/ profit/ taxes? I love how specific and to the point you are! And positive 😊
Dana Buchman, pronounced "Day-nah Buck man" is a great knitwear brand. Really big in late 80's-90's. Carole Little was such a great brand around the same time. Her clothes were a bit pricey back then, very artsy, mostly rayon fabrics. I especially liked her patchwork designs. Esprit, pronounced "Ess-pree" has been around a long time! Used to be Esprit d'Corps and I remember it from the late 70's. Every fashion girl had at least one piece in their closet. I believe that Aran Craft sweater was sold on QVC. Twice a year they bring new designs on air and I remember that style. If you ever find XXL in their sweaters that is for sure made for Q. I don't think they've ever had a sweater that was under $100. Most are $120-$150 so always a great find
Also a video comparing your experiences of Poshmark vs eBay (wondering if it’s worth it to post both). And a video of yearly profits/inventory etc 😊. Just curious! Bc I trust your advice, you’re very knowledgeable!
OK, that’s what mine look like on Saturday at half off day at the Salvation Army and I felt terrible because everybody else was probably just behind a few few things in here I came with a full cart

It is doing something that I couldn't or didn't know how to do. I wasn't getting any sales. Now I'm getting a few sales. Not several like some people, but more than I have been.
Do you actually get the high prices you list your items for? Or do you end up selling your items for less. Do you have offers on? It seems like lately people are wanting items for way less than you should get for them. I'm lucky to be able to get $30 for an item.
I've been able to sell items for higher amounts but it all depends on the item, size, quality and season. A good amount of items that I pick up do end up selling for less than what I expect in the beginning but not by a significant amount and some items I mark up in order to have wiggle room for lower offers. But when I get really low offers, I just ignore those because I know that I'm okay with holding on to the item until the right buyer comes along. Hope you have a great week. ❤️
I am all for thrifting and reselling... but coats and shoes from Goodwill and Salvation Army are a hard no for me. I've been a struggling single mom before. Coats and shoes are necessities. It was such a blessing to discreetly find nice quality items for my children and myself. Please please consider this?
Hey I appreciate your comment but I only thrifted 3 pairs of shoes out of many and then a few coats out of the hundreds they have at this store. Tons of shoes and coats are sent to our local bins/outlet each day and then from there to the landfills. I personally don't see anything wrong with picking up anything at the store including coats or shoes. There is enough to go around. 😊
Nobody is obligated to make sure have what you need other than yourself. Get there early. I never see less than 5 rows of coats at just one GW. Me grinding and feeding my family is what I worry about
I love your videos but as a fellow long time reseller I have to say some of the prices you mention that your items will sell for are on the high side. Hardly any J Jill dresses sell for $40 anymore, maybe $25 to $30 at max. And when the dress costs $8-10, its not a great investment. All im saying is the reselling world has gotten a lot tougher and most sellers like myself have to be very picky with what they pick up.
