Oh my god. I just cannot get over how beautiful and perfect this is. It feels like something that would be at the end of a movie. I can imagine the big climactic battle is over, and the camera pans out to show the wreckage and the bodies with dark storm clouds in the background. The main hero gathers their team, they all reunite, battered and exhausted but glad to see each other alive and relatively unharmed. They despair for the future together, but then the main hero yells at them then launches into a speech about how they all survived, and they can survive again. They finish on a sad, bittersweet, but a little bit hopeful note as the sun breaks through the clouds. They all continue their journey walking in one line, the main hero in the lead as the camera zooms way out to see the barren battlefield, but also the life-filled scenery surrounding it, then it fades to black and the credits roll.
We used this song and times it perfectly that my wife and i had our wedding kiss to the start of the chorus. I always come here to remember that day.
