I would love to see a little more gear breakdown. Like even if it is just a 30 second talk about what bait you're using along with the rod, reel, line, etc.
looks like he's using Shimano curado 70, slx dc, and a daiwa tatula, paired with MF rods. when he's throwing the big swimbaits, i think its the shimano tranx 300, fluorocarbon most likely.
The soft plastic Swimbait he was using is the 3:16 rising son I believe the 7 or 8in size ,,,
He does in almost every video. He always is saying what he is using and what baits

Need to go with a daracell 31AGM marine battery. You can pick one up at Sam’s club for about 180 bucks. I run 1 16” HDS lives, 2 12” HDs live, helix 10, active target and mega 360. Have been for a year now and haven’t had any issues with cranky and power. I also run dedicated 8gauge marine wire and a cut off switch for my graphs to the battery. Separate from the factory wire that comes with the boat for power.

Awesome gar catch dude. I've caught just about every species on the old spoon but never a gar. Pan otpics combined with the spoon seems deadly. It also seems like the schools of bass chase bait more off the bottom and not on the surface these days. I guess its time to score an optic.

I remember the first time I saw bass schooling- I was on lake Pickwick on the Tenn. river- far more violent and apparent than what I was expecting. Not exactly hard to spot. I do think they have a sixth sense though that tells them which way to go to get just out of your reach- frustrating little bastards. What really sucks though is when they do this and refuse to hit anything that's not a perfect match for whatever they're already feeding on- nothing makes me madder than pulling my bait through all that busting and commotion and nothing happens. It looks like they're just indiscriminately feeding on whatever is around but- that's rarely if ever true for these tricky little shits. They have a target and sometimes they are super honed in on those characteristics only.
