Yes! THIS! I mean eff the black nonsense off because there were plenty of blacks in all media at the time but as a MAN who has given his enitre working life to football and providing a very high quality experience, it made me love football more as a fan.
He's been in video games, a player, manager he's done it all and he stands out so much and as I said made the experience all the better.

Kammy is so hard on himself, if only he could see through our eyes for one day. He seems to think his value as a presenter has some how been diminished, he would see that we if anything, think it has only given him even more value. Love ya Kammy and the smile when your mum and wife were brought up is still as contagious as ever.

I’ve listened to almost every episode but I have never been so moved by any other nor have I ever left a comment. But I feel the need to here. What an iconic man. It honestly broke my heart to hear he feels like a fraud. It would be easier to give up and hide in the shadows, and not face life head on. What Kammy has chosen to do is the opposite, it’s the harder choice that requires courage and nerves of steel. Him and his family should feel proud of who he is and what he stands for, not in spite of his illnesses but by virtue of them and his ability to persevere in the face of adversity. What a man.

I remember as a 12 year old (1978) walking home from school passed Chris Kamara's house when he lived in Swindon. (Malvern Road in Gorse Hill). It was in my neighbourhood and I remember feeling proud he lived so near by. I remember looking down and seeing a pen on the pavement outside his house with the name Chris Kamara embossed on it. I knocked his door. He answered and was very friendly and was pleased I had returned his pen to him. A very fond memory. All the very best to you Chris 👍

His laughter and ability to loose control in funny situations were legendary, Kammy is sorely missed. I related wholeheartedly to this. I experienced racism as a child. Had chewing gum thrown in my hair and was kicked a lot. In 2020 I became very unwell with anaemia but it was left undiagnosed. It affected everything, my emotional wellbeing, my energy and my work. I was a confident artist before in the performance industry. In the public eye. When I was finally diagnosed in the summer of 2021, I couldn't walk for long, couldn't stay awake, burning on the back of my head, loss of speech. I completely relate to this man. I'm still recovering and getting back into the arts, more so online now. Going to hospital to have a full ENT check soon. I hope I can fully recover. Thanks for doing this episode. @No Pill 4 me nope that's not true. Remember human beings are the only ones currently with a spoken language. Yet all animals communicate effectively.
Someone can tell me something with their posture, with their face, with their hands, all sorts. It's still communication.
Speech is also only useful if you speak the same language. Then yes a barrier goes up, but it's actually still very possible to communicate with being able to understand a word.
It's taken for granted more often than not and diminished.

We love you Kammy! Don't ever give up!
I have dyspraxia which isn't as debilitating as your apraxia but it's the messages from my brain not quite getting to my body properly. It's hard to deal with and I've had it all my life.
Feel gutted for you in having to deal with it so suddenly and late in life.

Loved this episode! I’m someone who was healthy and doing well in my career that I loved then became unwell with chronic illness and had to leave and the grieving process of your former self and life isn’t spoken about enough and it’s a massive thing and I relate to Chris so much!

Seen him play a number of times. Guy played with real passion..a joy to watch. What a pundit too...most are quite dull but CK was always entertaining.

Thank you for sharing this video! Chris you are amazing and I’m so thankful to be able to see you sharing your life and been able to see your journey. I have everything crossed for the specialist in America. I shed a lot of tears watching this, happy tears, proud tears and sad tears. The sad was because I saw my dad in you and your life. He was just as passionate about life and level headed when it came to racism. He was the best dad and I wish he was still here. I wish I could have a conversation like this with him. For the last two years of his life he really struggled with his speech both for himself and knowing others were struggling to understand/hear as he could hear and feel the changes but also he lost his confidence as he used to talk to everybody and make them laugh too. He thought not having this loud personality made him less of a person. It absolutely did not. We all loved him more than life. He was and is still so precious to me. Please feel the love from your fans and your family. And may your career continue to excel! You are a legend and we love you.

Don’t be hard on yourself, you have exceeded in your life and deserve everything you have worked hard for. You did that! Be proud! You are one in a million. No regrets, you have nothing to regret.

This was a beautiful interview, equally beautiful and tragically sad, It's clearly obvious the Kammy really has no idea on what impact he's had on millions of Football fans lives, on the pitch and especially off it, and even more so now. Thousands of people suffer with thousands of different conditions that are pretty unknown and until someone of importance starts to suffer then that's when we get to hear about it. Although it saddens me that Kammy is suffering with this condition it's heartwarming to know just his personality will ensure that this condition starts to be a bit more understood and hopefully ensure others start to recognise it and treat others with it accordingly instead of hurtful comments. Love you big man, good luck with this fight and your next chapter, millions of people wish you nothing but love and luck Kammy. Subscribed on the strength of this interview, really was an insightful and beautiful interview handled extremely respectfully.

Kammy has great strength of character.
Wise, brave, humble, disciplined, hard working and of course hilarious.
It’s quite clear he’s encountered many moments in his life were adversity has reared it’s ugly head and he’s stared it down with real restraint, and this is even more apparent now with his current illness. It’s no surprise he’s universally loved with character traits like that. I think we could all learn a lesson or two from the big man.
    Unbelievable 🔥

His story has so much depth. He is an amazingly humble man. His pain about his father really resonated with me. My mom, as a child, watched my grandfather abuse my grandmother. My mom never told me about it until I was well into adulthood. I’m just really realizing how that impacted her and how witnessing such abuse shaped her into who she is today. His interview helped me see things through my mother’s eyes.
