I'd been considering this as I like being nice to my neighbors when leaving early but I want to be loud when I get out on the road. Thanks for the detailed review and instructions.
Nice tut. This will be my first mod without a doubt. The stock NPP exhaust sounds so good on these cars. Might be the first time ever I leave the stock exhaust on a car.
Very helpful. This convinced me to A) buy this and B) install it (using your instructions over the factory written ones since these were easier to follow). Thanks again!
I've found that I just want this exhaust note a little louder than stock. So I placed split collars over the vacuum actuator shafts and adjusted them to keep the butterfly plates from closing all the way. They still open when I get on it but they're not too loud (just louder) under normal driving conditions.
I just bought it for only 80 bucks and it is easily reversible. Planning to use homelink feature with mine. The one I bought allows you to install the unit normally closed or stealth upon cold start by default.
CarGuy11 question? I ordered that part from the site you recommended but haven’t received anything about shipping. Did you have any issues when you first ordered it.
CarGuy11 thanks again. I had already ordered it from Nakidparts the night I watched your video but haven’t heard anything from them so think I just lost that 79. Bucks.. lessoned learned.
Thank you!! When this is ON, is it identical to stock? Meaning stealth, sport and track modes available? And when it's OFF is it louder than track mode? Thanks!!
Hey CarGuy 11. I love this video. Great job with the thorough content! I recently installed the Mild 2 Wild switch in my Grand Sport (after watching this video) and love it! I am making a quick video of my own showing the location I came up with for putting the remote. Do you mind if I put a link to your installation video in my video description? Also, would you care if I include a link to my video here? Let me know!
How is the mild to wild switch holding up? Any advise that you can give that you would do different after installing and having used for some time now? I am planning on installing in my 2016 Z51
Installed on my 2016 Z51 and it works just as you had reviewed. Thank you so much. Hell I even bought the Laguna blue because it looked so sharp in your vidoes.
@@CarGuy11 last question so if i have this product installed while on sport mode and press the button to close the valves will it behave normally open and close while driving or will it keep it closed the whole time
Great video as always. I had this in my C6 and it was one of the best mods i ever did. I hadn't really considered this for the C7 as i keep my NPP in Track mode, but after taking a drive and really listening to the fluctuations i now can hear the constant change in exhaust tone and its now bugging me to the point where ill be picking one of these up. Which vendor in the corvette forum did you pick this up from and how long did it take to arrive?
Installed mine but when car starts the exhaust is loud when I turn on switch nothjng happens. While car was running I pulled the mild to wild fuse plug and installed fuse and the exhaust opened quieting the motor as on stealth mode. Any ideas? 1.installed correctly 2. Switched to stealth mode
I'm looking to buy this for my 6th gen, and need them to close in stealth when I'm passing a sound station on the track. If I'm WOT while clicking the valves to close would they stay close even past 4k rpm?
The real question here is, how in the hell do you keep your engine looking so clean? It looks like it has 10 miles rather than 10,000! Lol. Cool mod. Looking forward to all the vids in 2017. Have a Merry Christmas.
Still getting the dealer oil change...As it is I have to pull my catch can and put the rad tray back on before I take the car in...I would have to pull that thing off to...GM dealers keep files on each car that comes into the dealerships. If a tech sees something on the car that is not stock, they note it on the file for that cars serial number...
CarGuy11 Please forgive my warranty worries. It's a big investment. Just want to get the best out of it with trouble free upgrades. Going to purchase the mild to wild this week.
This product has a design problem. If you put it in quiet mode and then race the engine like to pass or just accelerate from a stop the device will switch to loud mode. It will not go back to quiet mode unless you hit the remote again. This happens because the remote receiver gets its power from the fuse 42 circuit. In other words the relay in the remote receiver is being powered by the very signal it is trying to control. I modified my design to supply power to the remote from a separate 12volt source in the fuse box. Let me know if you want more information.
So all this does is make it believe the fuse is in ? .... I don't bother ever putting the fuse in. Pulled it 2 years ago when I got our 2019 GS. Our 2019 5.0 GT Mustang is WAY louder at all RPM's than the Vette. The Stang also is run in Track Exhaust mode all the time !
Great job! we are the manufacture and have been selling them since 2006. We are sold by many Chevy dealers, the national corvette museum and endorsed by Jay Leno. No warranty issues or the dealers would not be selling and installing them on the new cars they sell. www.nakidparts.com

Just came across this video. Definitely a must buy when I get my C7 !
Yes it’s great to have!

Oh cool haven't heard of one like that.
you can also program your garage door opener on the sun visor so u dont have to use the remote
Yep!
How??
How?
I like it. I just ordered a Varex butterfly muffler for my stratus. So then I can adjust from quiet to fully open like this.
Nice!
Amazing video. I have been looking for something like this for my C7 GS..
Thanks & hope you check out more C7 videos on the channel!

On my C7 Z06 you needed a deep well 13mm to get the ground nut off. I looked for other grounding methods but non worked for this kit.
Thanks!

Haha nice! Glad to hear you like it!
I always keep my vette in sport mode just incase a srt wants to get beside me but when do the valves close
Haha yep Sport mode valves close below 3k RPM but open again at idle.
@@CarGuy11 last question so if i have this product installed while on sport mode and press the button to close the valves will it behave normally open and close while driving or will it keep it closed the whole time
Yes it will be in the sound mode you have selected.
@@CarGuy11 i was suppose to be real stingy this month and save $ but ima have to order this now 😂😂😂
You said the NPP valves will close in Track mode but do they close if you’re in Sport mode?
Yes even more of the time.
Late to the party, but are you able to keep it in stealth mode even in WOT?
Yes with Stingray. No with Z06.
@@CarGuy11 great to know! Picking up a grand sport today. Thank you!
I have 2014 Chevy Silverado with LT motor 6.2 L with Z06 muffler this device will be fit on my truck or not
Hmm if it has valves you just need to find correct fuse.
Thanks dude
Is having the valve open the same as having the sound management program in "track" mode?
Yes but the value still closes in track mode.

Thanks man! Yeah either pull fuse or get this. Link to where I got it in description and took less than a week.
I just installed my wild to mild but cannot tell any difference sound I have checked everything do I have to have it under a load our higher rpm
You should have sound mode in Tour or Stealth so when turned on the valves close.
I have tried all 3 i cannot get it to work
Can I connect the fuse receiver to the dash garage buttons?
I also noticed fuse 32 was associated with exhaust valve #1 --- any use pulling that one as well?
No, you will get check engine light as this is for 4 cyl mode.
Thank You
Does adding this switch to a c7 under warrenty hurt the warrenty? Thanks
No you can easily remove before taking to dealer if you are worried about it.
Does and if so , how does this work with an 8 speed, paddle shift automatic transmission ?
Yes, its just like pulling the fuse so valves will stay open when OFF and work normally when ON.

@@CarGuy11 How do you set it to tour mode?

I'm looking to buy this for my 6th gen, and need them to close in stealth when I'm passing a sound station on the track. If I'm WOT while clicking the valves to close would they stay close even past 4k rpm?
Hmm LT1 does close but LT4 opens still. You will have to try stealth on your car and see if they stay closed. It will act the same with switch.
If I have my exhaust to sport mode, will this make it louder on idle?
No it won’t. Just prevents valve closing at certain RPMs.
The real question here is, how in the hell do you keep your engine looking so clean? It looks like it has 10 miles rather than 10,000! Lol. Cool mod. Looking forward to all the vids in 2017. Have a Merry Christmas.

Did you connnect your remote to you Homelink system?
No you could but I have 1LT without Homelink.
Forgive me. But what is the point of this switch. Isn't it the same as switching it from stealth and the other 3 modes on the screen?
No, this video explains it. ua-cam.com/video/hxZEaxXbEfw/v-deo.html&t

looks like a warranty killer
Why? It's easily removable to go back to stock if your worried about it.

I have not noticed that.
swacker68 You must have pulled the wrong fuse. Check it again.
There should be a switch on the box to choose your default mode. The fact that it defaults to "open" all the time is the reason I won't be getting it.
If you put car in accessory mode without starting it you can click the button before starting for a quite start.
@@CarGuy11 yea, no. That's far too tedious, especially since I'd want "a quiet start" far more often than the latter.

Only you can answer that lol.
Wat do u mean?
I don’t know what you mean. It doesn’t hurt anything.
I just thought cos air comes out from the pipes and if its blocked he does it wrk
All u have to do is just unplug the valves from the mufflers and they won't close
Way easier to remove fuse or use this!
Where I put the blue wire
It’s antenna so anywhere in engine bay.
Another video pulled the 43 fuse .... 42 or 43
