That’s the brush on Kevy’s photo very nice I truly love my Thäther 26 Beehive such a amazing brush wow 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼great customer service from Harald from Thäter amazing.. Take care Alan H
AWESOME WIN Kevy !!! Love the Shavemac HoneyBee Hive Badger ! Congratulations ! Fine Brush ! The Scots Shave Meet must have been Great ! When are the Highland Games ? For a "so called" Newbie , it is something when Con on his Channel Recommendations Vid puts you in ! Another Super Big Congratulations ! I started to say a while ago , but didn't . That's an Honor ! He's a Great Guy . Top Notch , and picked Top Notch Channels to recommend . One guy lives close to me . Thanks Kevy !
Hell to the yeah!! Lucky win, Kev!! It's safe to assume that honey bee will be in your normal rotation. I give my badger brush a shampoo once a week to keep it clean, and free of smelly sebaceous oils. I am genuinely happy for your win fall. Enjoy, my friend.
Beautiful brush Kevy. Love the Maca root myself AND I love the smell too so snap! Great video Kevy, keep em coming. Impressed with your Scots Gaelic pronunciation too ;-)
First de safety shave last night kevy. Edwin Jagger 89 plisoft brush and blue beards revenge soap with a personna blue. Lot of fun and the best shave of my life. Cheers
Nice relaxing shave Kevy, I thought you'd get a killer lather out of the maca root, it's great😌👏 Relaxing shaves are currently a thing of the past in my house, my little boy has his leg in plaster after an operation on his foot last Friday but is cleverly amusing himself by shouting out "NURSE DADDY!!" every 2 minutes 😂
+Kevy Shaves aww thanks Kevy!! His surgeon was going to do 2 procedures on Ben's foot, but the first went so well, she didn't have to do the second, which is great, as most of the possible risks and complications were to do with the second part, and his recovery period is now 4 not 8 weeks. 😌 Ha ha Ben likes being wheeled everywhere, so he won't be the one going head over heels on some accidentally spilt slick shaving soap, just his sarcastic dad 😂, and yes, I'm spoiling him rotten and trying to make it all into a big silly game, hence the "nurse daddy" and the walking talkie next to his bed 😌👏
Stirlingsoap.com has a 24mm 2 band finest badger brush on sale now for $30. I've tried quite a few brushes but I have a hard time using anything else now. Gel tips, great backbone, great weight, and just awesome! Good shave Kevy!
I've been meaning to ask you for awhile if you've tried the Braveheart razor yet? I'm not seeing anything on the forums about it yet. It's suppose to be quite a bit more aggressive than the DE89 style and not as much as the MuhleR41. I kinda want one. lol
+Alan Andresen I haven't tried it. It's made by a company here in Scotland. I've seen a few UK shavers using it and giving it very good reviews saying it gives a great shave. You're right, somewhere between a DE89 and an R41. www.executive-shaving.co.uk/product.cfm/product_ID/6410/category_ID/277
+Alan Andresen just had another look and they actually sell the Braveheart head on its own too. www.executive-shaving.co.uk/product.cfm/product_ID/6415/category_ID/280
Hey Kevy. I just bought Maca Root last week and have used it a couple of times. I think it is one of my best creams, along with TOBS sandalwood and Trumpers Coconut. I'd put Maca Root more slick though than those. I haven't found the Voshkod that smooth like you had mentioned. When I used them I thought they tugged a bit. Perhaps I should give them another try...nice new brush you got.Chris Ryan
Cheers Chris. I like the Maca root a lot. The Voskhods are a lot of people's favourite blade so I thought I'd give them a go. It was smooth for me but maybe not quite as smooth as the Perma-Sharps.
Maca root aloe Vera is may favourite and don't even mix it in the tub j just dip the tips on my brush Ian and it's explodes on my face when I face leather.
Hey Kevy.. nice video.. will try a slant.. If I am getting some pulling and tugging.. do I need a sharper blade or aggressive razor? sometimes that irritates the skin, any advice?
Ahad, if you're getting tugging and pulling it might be that the blade needs to be replaced. I'm not sure how many times you're using the same blade but it could be a sign that the blade is blunt. Also you might not be applying enough lather to your face or the lather might be too dry causing the blade to feel like it's tugging. Try adding a little water to your lather until you have a nice creamy lather. Hope this helps for you. 😀
treat yourself kevy to an above the tie s1 , or even the s2 open comb! still waiting for that broom to arrive :O) - scots garlic? and honey?? .. ohh my
+technicaly brilliant ha ha, I should have known, scots garlic would imply they have another vegetable in Scotland apart from the potato 😌👏 I'm going to pay for that one 😂
Two shaves in a row for Mr. Kevy Shaes with a soap we've all heard of! That must be a record in the annals of Kevy Shaves video history! As far as blades go, what was your opinion of the Polsilver Super Iridium? I know you used it in a previous video. That's becoming my go to blade for fast 3 pass shaves. It's a very forgiving blade and one of the smoothest when performing the ATG pass in the mustache area. How does it compare to the Perma-Sharp and the Voskhod? The Polsilver SI and the EJ 89 are almost a perfect combination. How much did you pay for the Myrsol Plastic AS? It's £7.50 at Giftsandcare.com. They have the whole line: www.giftsandcare.com/en/search?controller=search&orderby=position&orderway=desc&search_query=myrsol&submit_search= I've heard the Myrsol aftershave scents aren't long lasting, so I'm not going to ask about longevity or its WTOQ (Women Turn On Quotient).
I know, the same soap...twice! Amazing! I thought the Polsilver SI were a touch smoother than the Voskhods and I did think they performed better for me, but nothing has come close yet to the smoothness of the Perma Sharps...yet! I paid around £15 for the Myrsol so gifts and care is where I'll go for it now! The Myrsols don't last long, but for me it's the face feel they leave in post that is just a cut above other splashes. The feel on the face is after using them for me is really nice.
Love a badger! Even thou it's been a few years, congrats on the win! Nice brush!

Cheers Alex. Yes it will definitely be in my rotation. Good tip about the shampooing. 😀

Comment 30000 from TRex.
Can you use this one on the next shave to see that this thing can stand next to the best soaps?

I was looking at the SOC badger brush before I won this one, Kev 👍
A very slick cream... I have a tub somewhere hidden, I must find it!!
Congratulations! You made out like a bandit and scored some fine loot winning that brush. ;)

A week last Friday*
Cheers Dave. Aw, that's a shame for your boy. I hope he didn't slip on some Maca root!! 😀 I bet he's getting spoiled just now.

+Dave C nice one Dave. Hope it's a quick recovery for the wee man 😀
+Kevy Shaves thank you again Kevy, from me and the little fellow 😌
Grrrreat Kevy :-D The "plastic" is on my list. I have the Aqua de Limon an the Formula extra. Good stuff these Myrsol splashes.
They are indeed very good Thomas. I wasn't sure which one to buy as they all seem to be excellent. 😀

That's great news about Stirling doing a badger brush! I'll need to check the reviews out! Thanks for the info.

Rocco Contini just tried it today. Totally agree. The post really stood out.
Awesome brush too! Utah is known as The Beehive State! Very cool Kevy!
Cheers Rich. I have the perfect soap to compliment that brush. Watch this space...😉
+Kevy Shaves how do you liker three silver tip badger brush for performance?
+Shaving With Rich I love it! It feels very rich and dense when lathering. Beautiful feel on the face 😀
Great video Kevy. What do you think now of the maca root? I think it's one of the best.
Cheers Steven. I really liked it. Great performance and I actually think the scent is nice. 😀
***** Yeah, I like the scent as well even if some people don't like it.
Maca root aloe Vera is may favourite and don't even mix it in the tub j just dip the tips on my brush Ian and it's explodes on my face when I face leather.
Smashing Kevy as Usual !!
Cheers Chris 😀
For curiosity's sake, do you still have the Omega S-Brush used in your first video or did you get rid of it?
I still have the Omega S-Brush. I don't think I'd part with it as it was my first ever shaving brush 😀
Hey Kevy.. nice video.. will try a slant.. If I am getting some pulling and tugging.. do I need a sharper blade or aggressive razor? sometimes that irritates the skin, any advice?
