Thank you for this excellent walk! It brought back many memories of when I was in the US Army stationed in Da Nang from January, 1970, through April, 1971. My unit compound was right on that beach - I recognize the hills in the distance, a view I woke up to every morning. It has certainly changed - for the better!!! - since a military compound was there. Da Nang has vastly changed from what the city looked like when I was there. It has been wonderful seeing it as it is today, Again, many thanks!
More than 55 years ago, at that time I was not born, now you still remember the old memories but it has changed in infrastructure and construction in the past 10 years, but Son Tra mountain and beautiful beach are still there. long live

Da Nang is such an amazing city. The diversity is amazing. My only fear is that it will end up over gentrified by wealthy ex-pats ect. But it is destined to by the template for modern Vietnam.
That white thing you saw on the beach at 11:13 is a cuttlefish bone. Another good one Barefoot 👍 Haven't watched the full video yet but I like. Wow that sea food looked delicious.

Great to meet you Terry and amazing getting lost with you on the streets of beautiful Da Nang ,,,,dont think we could of timed that better with the sunset what a great experience thanks for chilling with me great video wish you well in the future Tim :)
Tim thanks for connecting brother. It was a memorable journey I will always cherish my friend. Wishing you more future success with your incredible photography. I'd love a copy of the photo you showed me to share with my subscribers. Thanks again and safe travels!
You can only find North Koreans in the North Korean embassy in VN. South Koreans account for about 50% of the number of foreign tourists in Danang. The other groups come from Japan, Taiwan and more recently, from India, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia. If you walk around Han market, you can see a lot of signs in Korean. There are very few Russians visitors to Danang. There are more of them in Nha Trang.
You're right. I wasn't speaking from experience (only from what I'd heard and was expecting as this video was literally my first hour on arrival in Da Nang). Apparently most Russian tourists visit Nha Trang well to the South.
OMG Terry. The seafood you had looks like it was totally worth the wait. And you can't beet the service. There might be a language curve when ordering or to busy but at least he cut the cheese.

the beaches in Vietnam are pretty much empty from 8am to 3-4pm they are usually jam packed early in the morning and in the late afternoon though . Vietnamese dont go to the beach when the sun is up high , which is the complete opposite of westerners lol.

Love your video,,, We were there in Feb,, Stayed at Mandila Hotel,, which looks like it was right next door,, walked from the Hotel the other end to Paradise Restaurant, and back again Amazing beach.
Very interesting choice of restaurant. I always think of Mộc Quán as a slightly pricey, if not overpriced option for seafood, but after seeing the queue of people waiting to be seated and watching you enjoy the food, hearing your praises and seeing how they handled the missteps, the price is prolly justified.

Why was there a sign that said no swimming? Is it because the water is rough, or is it forbidden all the time?
