The DOZB is an ICS position who is usually supervised directly by a DIVS or STLD in the nationally recognized operations chain of command. He is the manager of an agency contract for one or more dozers, with operator, transport, and assigned personnel. He may manage agency assigned equipment/personnel independently or in addition to private contractors.
Knowing your equipment and how to use it. Communications and coordination with all ground personnel ! Proper training and support for all personnel working the fire! Working safely with all involved to ensure you all leave the work zone ! If you are and involved and are a independent contractor follow the fire commanders orders! Don't take unnecessary risks! If you don't think your up to it be truthful! Your life is at stake! Just as those around you ! The United States Forestry service does have training for you if you are interested!
