Never seen a video with so much useful information packed into one class. Truly is a Masterclass not just in running but in overall training and fitness.
Yesterday, I warmed up on my treadmill with shoes, then kicked them off and ran barefoot for the first time since I as a kid. Immediately, I had to change my landing because my heel was striking and it was very uncomfortable. So I naturally started landing on my forefoot, and I felt like I was floating. I only ran for 15 minutes barefoot because my calves started to feel it. But, it was the best 15 minutes of running I ever experienced. Today, my claves are tremendously sore, but I think its because I just need to build up strength. I'm super pumped about the possibilities of running barefoot/minimalist. You are a stud dude. This video is jam packed with great info. I just subscribed. Thanks a bunch
You’re spot on with your analysis. Over time your calves will become stronger and be able to handle more load. You’d rather have sore muscles than messed up joints. Heel striking is repetitive load against the structure of your body and will cause issues sooner than later. Glad to hear of your experience! Check out my walk run sprint community on Skool (link in IG Bio) if you want to join our community with on some coaching calls & structured approach to training too!
This was fantastic. It was a lot of what I basically already know and yet you put it in a way that makes me realize that my whole training plan is upside down. This is a whole attitude reset for me.
I've been running barefoot and got stress fracture on my foot when i missed these basic. Now i run and strenght train etc and feel so much better. I had knee problems with traditional shoes but none of those anymore either. Have you ever had injury as barefoot runner?
graham, thanks for all you do. i got v-alphas about a year ago on your recommendation and have done about 1000 miles in them. my feet are strong, and my toes have become straighter without needing toe spreaders or any other toe work. vibrams are the most comfortable thing i can put on my feet and everything else pales in comparision. nothing like a tight, freshly washed pair either!
Hello! I am currently trying to get into running and this video has been very informative and I cant wait to try out all the techniques you spoke on to improve. I am currently in the endless cyle of what shoes are best so i thought your section was very helpful! I also would like to know where/what brand those bright blue leggings are. I need those in my life!
I'm pretty sure one isn't supposed to kick out one's leg on the forward motion in a sprint, but rather move forward knee high then as the knee goes down, the lower leg rotates forward a bit but not past the knee.
I have foot drop that I'm stuck with forever. Over the past 6-8 months, I've been experiencing a spur at the Achilles of my heel. It's extremely painful to run on sometimes. When I take some time off to stretch and strengthen, it feels fine at slower speeds. As soon as I try to ramp up, I start to feel it again. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Really wish this was here when I was a teenager being forced to run by people who had no idea how to train a completely unfit kid 😂 I had so many injuries and I ended up hating exercise from the bullying.
Of course. But I will say that it's hard to keep up with those carbon fiber shoes. They're like the swimming suits that the IOC banned years back. It's insane how much boost they give.
Hi, so am I able to gain mobility in my toes? I can do simple moves with my right foot toes, but with my left foot I can’t even move my pinky, only like the big toe but that’s about it… am I done for or can I “learn” how to move my toes
This series are pure gold. Thank you very much for this. Been running and training in Vibrams fivefingers and unfortunatelly injured my calf during the competition. Now I am going through your free course And I love the idea behind this. So thank you again. Keep doing what you do. All the best from the Czech republic. 🙂
it is true , once i was working in the photogaphy studio barefoot , i was handling some flashlights and i didnt bother to switch off the power , long story short there was an exchange of electrons from the lights to the floor and i was the conduit .😂🤣😂🤣
A comment to thank you for re-recording this masterclass entirely, which lives up to its name. Lots of interesting information that is hard to find.

Thank you! I really appreciate the kind words! I put a lot of time into this.

I had always thought orthotics were the best way to go. Thanks for the advice, I now stand corrected.

Wow, the best video I've ever seen. Exactly what I needed to better my barefoot running!

Totally agree! My feet got pretty thick after being barefoot. Now, my 5 fingers are some of the only shoes that fit me haha. Great work!
Your running form is amazing, I have flat feet and I’m 6’6ft tall looking to improve my stride.
I have also started to follow your at home workout series(unique and effective exercises)
Thankyou
Love to hear it! Keep it up!

Amazing! Thank you for this amazing content ❤😍🥳
You're so welcome!
Very valuable info, thank you so so much! I'll definitely introduce the 3 drills before each running session for starters.
Have a great one!!

What's the best water-proof or at least water resistant running shoe?
Very helpful, thank you very much! What is the name of the sandales and or the brand at minute 8:26?
Shamma!
@@thebarefootsprinter Nice, thanks!

Coaching! I help people get out of pain and back to life.
Can one be competitive in a 10k barefoot?
Of course. But I will say that it's hard to keep up with those carbon fiber shoes. They're like the swimming suits that the IOC banned years back. It's insane how much boost they give.

Try the pain free course on his website
You can absolutely regain motion in your feet! Here is a free program to help you do just that: unbreakableacademy.org/af

Bruh. You lost me with the “exchange of electrons”. Are you serious?
That's how the body transforms information, your whole body has nervous system and modern shoes blocks that nervesous system in your foot.
This masterclass is too packed and complete, so not for all, but surely you can find more basic info in the video that's useful to you :)
