Old Abney Cotton Mill - Anderson, SC - Aerial Overview

This is a video shot in downtown Anderson, SC of the Old Abney Cotton Mill abandoned years ago after it burned. This was shot with a DJI Phantom 3, 2.7K camera and edited using Final Cut Pro X 10.2.3. Bobby Rettew was the aerial videographer for this short video.

I worked at the mill when I was 16 years years old during summer break from school . Now I'm almost 51. My dad and mom worked there a little over forty years until they shut it down. I hate that it burned up. So much history. I would like to go metal detect around it to see if I could find some old coins people lost over the years since it was built.

I knew it was a mill. But I didn't know it burned down. I live just right down the road from here. I'll sometimes go adventuring and climbing, just to look around.

The WORST eyesore in all of Anderson county . That whole area all the way to the tribble street side. SAD!!!! and at the edge of downtown
