I just bought some hydraulic fluid at napa today. Can't believe how expensive it is. It's like leaking gold... your stick welding is awesome warren. My Ag teacher in high school would always say a monkey can mig weld.
Hey Warren, I like it when you get to work out on the farm when the darn weather is good. That is some beautiful area in the spring! Thanks much for taking along on your workday!
I have no idea how you manage with so much work, that is so varied. One minute you're welding up something, next you're pulling apart a tractor to rebuild a gearbox, next a truck. Some people that work on just one brand seem to have difficulty doing their job, but you work on anything, what an amazing skill set.
I like you Grandpa’s saying about screwing up an anvil with a Q Tip. We have one similar that they could rip the guys out of a ball bearing. Thanks for the Commentary and Video’s, Warren. Can’t wait to see what you found with the Detroit.
Great video Warren hay equipment maintenance before haying figure out what works and what needs worked on. Thanks for taking us along to fix the bail wagons and the pivot track filling machine definitely show signs they are hard on that one stay safe Warren.
Every time I think of bud light it reminds me of the days I drank 3/2 beer. Lost my interest fast. I guess sometimes those subtle changes ya do to a beer can really spoil your taste for it.
That was funny to hear about the tire changers.I use to have the same problem when I had my 79 Dodge Charger.I would take it to the shop and when they asked me what it was the whole shop would take off for lunch.
Thank you Warren for the video 👍 I like Bob because he's like my coworker a Collie aswell she'll hang around with me mainly and loyal, rather her around than dumb ass people, nice looking area they've got, I drink whiskey mainly, hope you solved the DD15 problem.
We knew that Warren. Even if you had been, I know you wouldn’t be now. Our local country Store was trying to give their stock away and no one was taking it.
Yeah, if they're not the owners the operators will beat the crap out of it. Stuff like he's fixing most of the time is due to operators. Yes fatigue over time will show, but that will also depend on how it gets used.
Those have the same Lucas Girling brake system that the Ford F series and L series used on trucks with hydraulic brakes. Have worked on many of them. They can be problematic when not maintained. Few updates to the system makes them better but not as good as air brakes.
@@chriskleen5918 A residual check valve in the line going to the rear wheel cylinders. Keeps 1-3 psi in the wheel cylinders, This keeps the piston seal lips expanded just enough to prevent leaks as the rear wheel cylinders would leak. I have seen them leak when new without one. The updated dual lip seal kits for the wheel cylinders, made by Haldex. When rebuilding wheel cylinders i have stainless sleeves made to press in place and then i hone them to size, this helps prevent rust pitting which tears the piston seals. I will use NiCop or Stainless brake lines only. No steel lines as the system is prone to moisture accumulation and corrosion. System should be flushed and refilled annually. Having the tools made for that system is a big help as well.
Been watching a lot of your 7.3 rebuild videos recently ... Currently putting my original engine back in and get rid of the temp 7.3 I have in there right now ... I have them on loop in my shop rught now.. if that helps 👍.. ... and I never drink Butt Light beer anyway ... anything but BUTT water ... lol
The problem is if you drink Bud Light, you end up in a dress which could potentially get caught in a gear and injure yourself. High heels around the shop there aint gonna work either.
I do not drink alcohol. If I did I wouldnt drink anything made by Bud or Miller/Coors. Enough of these companies and their self righteousness and finger wagging.
If you grab your welding rod and make a big curve you can squat down and never move and weld all the way around a round pin. Well that's how they do it in Pakistan anyway, 🤣😁
Warren,I’m enjoying this work, but are concerned about the DD 15, never seen you lost with over 6 yrs of videos,we’re are concerned, I’ve never seen you walk away. Yea,we’re getting older,it only slows me a little. When started on that truck I thought it was a miracle the owner has 1.7 million miles, dam, wonder if that was a oddness of the job. I ain’t going no where Warren.
Hello Warren. Is there any good beer in America. I used to like a beer or two. You could get some nice taceting IPA and Blond coloured Beers. No afence, but we call American beer Nat's piss.
Warren, excluding the possibility you are unconcious, or trapped keep a functioning citizens band radio handy. Transmitting in the blind is better than nothing. But dont bother asking for a helicopter medical airlift, those are 50,000 a pop. Best to just cauterize that gaping wound with a stick, and drive to the doctor
I know we have had this debate before but i still dont see how disconnect battery ground prevents electronics from frying. The issue that fries things is poor ground location and poor ground clamp contact which raises voltage.
Any stray voltage that doesn't follow the ground clamp on the welder will find the next available ground, which is often through an electrical component to the battery ground. A circuit designed to be working on 5 or 12 volts with a handful of amps isn't going to be happy with 220v at possibly over 550 amps, depending on the welder and stick.
@@lastplacetrophy3821 First off read my comment. Your missing it bro. Also welding does not happen at 220v or 550 amp ever anywhere. The thing about opening your mouth and running it you should at least know what your talking about.
Thanks for clarifying that. There's some here who thought you were going woke on us with all of your trans. talk. I guess you'll be sticking with the pronouns you've been using up to this point. I'll stay subscribed now!
That aint not shit bud, seems like i used to grind all the time with no shield andnjust glasses but now shit always gets in my eyes so i wear the clear or the green
Is it me on that red wagon your blowing the snot off the joint. Don’t know if it’s the camera or is the ram for that lift your working on bent. It just not seem right that something messed that joint up.

He wasn't lying.
I hope you and the family and pups are doing good .....take care and have a good one..........................

Suspense is killing me. What's the verdict on the Detroit !!!
He replied on another comment that he sent the injectors to the fuel shop to get them unlocked.
@@I_Died_2_Weeks_Ago sweet thank you for the info.
I am also curious. I wanted to comment on the video but I saw so many other Detroit techs I didn't bother. Hope he gets it running
Everyone here who works gets hung up every so often.
As they say 'Adventure is not fun when its happening'.....at least you never forget it! Lol!

Got to give it to the owners. Getting stuff fixed up and checked before stuff brakes. You really are a top notch Mechanic Warren.
Another day in paradise,
Awsome video
Thanks for sharing Warren
Safe travels bud
Another great video Warren. Thanks for all you do!
I once had a sip of bud light, spat it out, tasted like mare piss to me. Have a great week Warren

Thanks for the tag along video sir, enjoyed it.
That is definitely some beautiful country up in those valleys. I always enjoyed going down from Susanville to Quincy, etc.
Another varied day in Warren's world you are one great mechanic
Bud light identifies as Fruit Juice now
Stop it silly 😜.
I guess that makes Miller lite fairy juice?

Warren, you may need to get a sat phone. If not for your safety. At least you may be able to get help, in case you needed it working by yourself.
Great as always camarada

Looks like a Girling park brake like the used on older Ford trucks😂

Coors here. Tastes better less filling. Pity on this country if mechanics who are not afraid of hard work become extinct Warren.
good vid warren
I always referred to it as able to bend a crowbar in a sandbox!!

I think you're confusing an arcing scenario versus the impossibility of having an arc without a power source.
@@I_Died_2_Weeks_Ago welding arc is still arcing woth or without battery. Also what does disconnecting battery do to reduce arc?
