- This hard to find Ryobi Cordless Clamp Fan is a new fan Ryobi just introduced in April, which works off standard Ryobi batteries, no more wasting money on standard AA batteries, and it lasts 60 hours on a 6 AH battery. This clamp built onto the Ryobi Clamp fan is a gamechanger, as you can clamp it onto any 2x4 rafter or a ladder. We also perform drop tests on this Ryobi 4 inch fan.
This a tool review video shows you everything you need to know about this new PCF02b Ryobi fan. With father's Day just a few weeks away this makes a great Father's Day gift idea. Because this new Ryobi fan is a limited time tool deal, many Home Depot stores do not have stock of them, so the only way for most of you to buy this fan is to buy it online which is why you haven't seen it until now. See the links below to order this Ryobi fan online directly from Home Depot. Because this Ryobi fan has a $19.99 price point, it is too low in price to be part of the Ryobi Days Sale, which is geared mostly for tools from $49-$99.

Who is on your tee shirt?
I kept checking the HD website to find which stores had them in stock. I managed to buy 3 of them, butr drove all over Houston to do it. My wife was adamant that we have these for hurricane season for when the power goes out, but I love how it clips to the handle of my Ryobi 21" lawnmower to provide a breeze on these humid Texas days.
Thank you for the review. This fan works great clamping on the EGO 21" lawnmower handle bar while mowing the lawn on a hot day or just to turn it on for few hours to dry up the shower and decrease humidity.
Watching that fan do a 180 somersault, was pretty cool, and then another drop, it did a 1 1/2 somersault! It was almost like watching the ‘flipping’ olympics, in slow motion! Surprised me that it still worked after all those somersaults on concrete pavers! Nicely done, brother!
It was he Rodney Dangerfield Triple Lindy back flip
Got one in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. Works great used it 2nd night of purchase during a 5 hour power outage after 5 hours used only one bar if a 4 amp battery on high. Awesome 😎
Yes, they claim 60 hours on a 6 Ah battery
Good narration, commentary n video. Was very informative. Kudos to u. Anticipating ur next vid.
Thanks a ton
Lol all the negative comments , I bought a load of these guys. I'm a Milwaukee guy, got me an adapter on amazon and these little fans rock. It's only $20!!!! Cannot go wrong at all! M18 5ah in this bad boy, in a camping trip this past memorial day. straight 14 hours or even more lol still had 2 bars left , just an fyi. Tested and proven , $20!!!!
Yes it does real well on battery life.
Bought 1 than another love them been running pretty much non stop does last a long time on 4 amp.
Yes, we got last 2 in our store
I placed an online order for this last week and it came the other day. Try ordering online if local stores don’t have any; I have dealt with local stores having inventory show up on the Home Depot app, but none available when I got to the store. That was quite frustrating.
I just bought this. So far 10.5 hours on high with a 4ah battery with one bar left. I'd say that's pretty damn good. And it pushes a lot of air for its size. And I don't even need it in high to cool off. It's too good and although HD increased the price to about 25 I'm buying another.
Fan has some bounce on the drop test. Great review. I got 3 myself.
Cool, thanks
Thanks Jeff, though I was hoping for a teardown, wanted to see how much extra space there is in the base, to potentially add another circuit or two for more functionality.
Do you think this would work well in a golf cart? I’m not sure if it will be too heavy with the battery attached?
I wanna put it on my lift at work. Hopefully it will help. Just ordered it
JEFF...JEFFFFFF....I GOT MY MISTING FAN...SO HAPPY..They had to look nearly 45 minutes to find it...Just love these.
nice score Rhonda!
Thanks for the great review $29.0. In Canada just ordered one.
Jeff always dropping tools from the top of the ladder
I'm in my zone
I just bought 2 of them, mostly to clip on my son’s handlebars of his motocross bike while we wait at the starting gate, I hold a umbrella over him to keep the sun off and the fan works great to keep the air moving…
Just received 2 Milwaukee fan kits today from depot. M18 fan, charger, 5.0A battery. 52.93 ea
Now that's worth 52.00
Not this over hyped 4" fan
Milwaukee fan with batter is an awesome deal, that battery is $149 on it's own. Hoe did you score it that cheap?
Do you have a link to that deal?
I really want a Milwaukee fan how did u get them that cheap rightnow the fan the 5.0 battery n charger are going for 129
How did you get that deal?
Great vid. Looking to get this bad boy to use on our stroller!
You should! That's a great idea
I really need this.
It's a nice little fan
I saw this at my local Hawaii HD in the aisle with all the showcased specials! I held it for a few seconda and was looking to see if there were anymore, but didn’t see anymore! I’m not into Ryobi, and so I passed on it!
Well you also need to already have Ryobi batteries, this is a tool only deal.
True, however, a $20 battery adapter, (on eBay) like from Makita, Milwaukee or DeWalt to Ryobi would do the trick and negate having to buy Ryobi batteries and a Ryobi charger!
But like Chaka Gillis.....Ryobi is rubbish, IMHO!
It did bounce back up at you on the drop. It’s a good thing it wasn’t made of flubber……….I built a stand for my Big Buddy heater last year. I will look forward to trying it out above the heater this coming winter. I purchased one of the fans that runs off the heat, but it really doesn’t do much. I will just have to remember to keep it away from the direct heat. I did manage to pick up two of them in Owensboro, KY. I don’t think the Evansville stores got any. I will buy several more if I find them.
Thanks for the info
You deserve more subscribers.
I'm working on it!
in Arizona we saw this fan at home Depot for 59$ so i don't know if it is a bigger one or if they rised the prices ☝
with the prices of gas now to use this instead of the car A/C can to be a good alternative .
I was in the store yesterday, package still says Special Buy While Supplies Last. 🙂
I just bought this $20 Ryobi 4" fan... Haven't opened it yet. The small size seems like it may come in handy.. I already got the DeWalt fan deal last year and almost bought another DeWalt when it was on sale but I'll catch it next time. Now to see if I should keep this little fan.
You should keep it, I bought one and liked it so much, I stopped at the store the next day to pick up the last one they had in stock. It has come in handy a few times.
Just beware... the packaging is one of the toughest i've ever opened. I may or may not have cut myself in the process of opening.
I use the electric package slicing tool to get all my plastics packages open
Does it work while charging?
What happens when you drop it with a battery in it?
Hey Jeff out of curiosity. I went to home depot app. Here in Albuquerque new Mexico you can order up to 3 of them but only for scheduled delivery with an extra charge of 8.99
That ,ight be their local truck delivering that, and they are trying to limit.
Bought this with the two 4Ah 18V battery package. I also got the inverter. Ready for an outage or camping lol
nices etup!
I score one and really 2 nights with 4 amp batt its a game changer
That is a nice long time
SO GUYS? WHICH HOLIDAY is better buy the power tool at home depot? Now? or Fathers day or July 4 ?... I am thinking about Milwalkee. I used to have dewalt old hammer drill. like it. but dead battery Nical battery dead. currently using about 10-12 years old brush Ridgid ... it slow rpm... ... black friday I may have to travel over sea... Thanks for your opinion... I am thinking about buy the set of M12 $199... for compact but also m18 Milwaukee what ya think. please tell me... which holiday lol or when it start the buy oen get one free option ? ... not like Ryobi... tho
Anytime you can get the Milwaukee starter pack batteries with the free ool it is aa good sale, like right now. You can score either the M18 Rocket Light, or the M18 Fuel vac
There are no stores in my area that have it. And I can't get it shipped to me either. Bummer!!! It would have worked great in my shop. My old fan decided it had had enough of the heat LOL.
same here
If it comes back in stock, you can get it shipped to you, check every day in the morning online for availability
The nearest store that has a limited inventory near me is about 50 miles away. The local HD list these as unavailable.
some people check in person. Most just order it online
@@jeffostroff Unfortunately when I checked online it showed not available for pickup or online.
How loud is it?
How does this compare to the Dewalt fan in terms of airflow? What is the high of this ryobi equal to On the Dewalt fan?
Dewalt fan is 500 CFM compared to 180 CFM for the mini Ryobi Clamp fan. The clamp fan on a 4 AH battery comes up to the top of the DeWalt logo on the middle of the DeWalt fan. The Ryobi fan is 10 1/2 inches tall too lonely and is 12 and a quarter inches tall when it sits atop the battery.
I tested using 1.3ah batteries. The running time on low is 7.5 - 9 hrs (rested vs fresh full charge). My estimate on high is 2hrs. In other words... The best tool for the underwhelming 1.3Ahr packs.
That's cool, we can use our "throwaway" ryobi batteries for a whole work day, or even overnight sleeping with on bedside
Just wondering why you took the battery off before the drop test. In a real situation wouldn't the battery be on the fan when it was accidentally dropped? Would like to see it dropped with the battery attached. Thanks for the video.
Would have liked to see the drop test with a battery in it, because in all actuality, if its going to be dropped from a ladder, its going to have a battery in it. Even an old dead nicad pack could be used if you don't want to risk killing a working battery pack.
good idea
you could also clip it to the top of your bathroom ceiling....after you sealed up the bathroom exhaust fan from the 3 -4 downstairs neighbors who all smoke into their exhaust fans that then flow into my penthouse bathroom. I watched your video on the smoker's apartment how to stop the stank infiltrated from your apartment from the neighbors. After I finished typing you then talk about the exhaust fan.
good idea
Wow the video quality ! which camera do you use ?
nikon z6
Dropping it without a battery attached is pointless.
Maybe we'll do more testing with the battery.
i was going to say the same. BUT i would hate to lose a battery if the process.
@@jeffostroffyou could tape a metal weight to simulate a battery without damaging an expensive battery
These are all currently sold out at Home Depot here in Houston. 😭
But I got the 18 in. Air Cannon 😏
Sold out in m store too! Hope we get some more in soon!
Home Depot website tells you which stores have them in stock. I have managed to pick up 3 of these, but traveled all around Houston doing so. I clip it right on the Ryobi 20" mower handlebar....
It's a nice little fan, but they should include a battery and charger option for those who don't have Ryobi. I thought for certain you were going to totally smash that fan into a thousand pieces when it fell from the roof. It was shocking to see how far it bounced back up.
I've had a couple of those 3' tower fans in the past fall off my workbench only for them to shatter into a million pieces all over my warehouse.
I figure they will offer it as a kit later on, but initially you know they will force people to buy the battery starter kit, with the BOGO, to get you into the platform.
I do Milwaukee , didn't wanna just switch platforms for this fan . Amazon has the adapter for every brand, got mine for $16 and now I don't need to buy Ryobi batteries. Better yet now I can extend my platform to Ryobi tools, if I wanted too.
.....while supplies last 👍🏻👍🏻✌🏻
That's they key, so I bought mine early on.
@@jeffostroff I checked as soon as I seen the video, nothing in my area 👎🏻
Really nice fan its so small and powerful for its size. I'm surprised how well it survived the fall.
It did the Triple Lindy!
Hey Jeff, what camera do you use to record your videos?
Nikon Z6
Love the fan but I don’t have the battery pack…. What do I buy???
neither just sweat like a real man🙄
You can get battery adapters for whatever platform you have as long as it's between 18 and 20 volts it will be fine. They make makita, DeWalt, milwaukee, rigid, and other adapters that will work and fit in Ryobi tools
Jeff, awesome video! Couldn’t believe how it withstood that drop off the ladder. 👍🏻
That bounce reminded me of Rodney Dangerfield in Back To school, the Tripe Lindy! ua-cam.com/video/rDMMYT3vkTk/v-deo.html
Can’t find them anywhere in PA or NJ
That's why we put the link to them in the video description because lots of stores don't have them, they are very hard to come by.
3 in stock in the mo valley store if anyone is interested in them.
Shopping cart full in Coconut Creek, FL Home Depot by the Ryobi days floor display
Funny the actual Ryobi site indicates "coming soon"
Yes, only a few stores have these so far
🔥🔥
thanks Cheddar!
Jeff thinks he is Elvis with all those fans. :)
Thank you veddy much!
I know u buissssy but its bout time u do this 🤣🥳💪🏾
yeah man
Does battery came along
Some kits have battery some are tool only
180 CFM 👀😳 Oh My !!!! This might work with the 4ah batteries.
IT blows some air around for sure
I'm all in with dewalt though so it'd be nice if dewalt came out with something similar
Would love a DewAlt clamp fan
Saw some loser asking $60 for that fan on fb marketplace. Hope to see the cryobi lights soon.
What a fool, when at least every other dat it comes back available on Home Depot web site for $19.99
New subscriber here. Love your reviews but plz turn down the music. Thanks man great job
Thanks for the sub!
Bought 2 online for my kids stroller 😂
that's a great idea
I get 17 hrs of run time on my Ryobi Whisper fan and a 4 amp battery. I bet this tiny fan will easily last twice as long.
Dropped it without a battery which realistically if you were using it you would have a battery which the weight of that would cause more damage when dropping it.
None in my area I talked to HD employee and he said they never got it, kind of pissed at Ryobi and HD, why put out a special product but only some of the country gets it
I think they are ramping up supply, traying to get these into stores
Pissed? Makes no sense, tools often debut in limited areas to see how they'll do sales wise and not surprising in the middle of a pandemic, that the factories aren't at max production rate, nor enough truck drivers to move stock, etc, whichever the supply bottleneck might be. Besides, it's not as transportation cost effective to send a small # of them to every store as it is to ship a higher volume to fewer stores.
@@stinkycheese804 it was a psyop not a pandemic get it right.
Game changer...? A clip, what a concept
no one else thought of it, LOL
$30 in Canada - of course. For that price it should have variable speed.
Pixar inspired? Why no battery on the drops?
I might do that next time
Oh Em Gee guys, a fan with a clip is a game changer! What a revolutionary product
(Out of all honesty I will get one once it becomes available in my store) but I think that calling it a game changer is stretching it. This is a very thorough review though and I appreciate the time taken to do it.
well find another battery fan like that with a clamp.
I had to search for a month! Finally got one today
Is it quiet ???
It is about as loud as the Dewalt Jobsite fan, not quiet, but not real loud. In low mode it is more it is quiet
@@jeffostroff thank u
I almost went out to buy a couple of them, but honestly I don't need it since I already have the hybrid fan. Fighting off the FOMO feeling is hard, especially with that "while supplies last" stamp, but boy it saves you money! xP
These clamp fans are real good for personal space
Wow
She bounces too!
😎😍😎😍😎
thanks ted!
The drop test makes little sense. The added weight of the battery attached to this can alter the results signficantly. Not that it matters but if you are doing it for the sake of testing the structural strength of the fan, battery should not be eliminated from the tests.
No comparison to the other fans?!?
Those were the only fans I had on hand
👍🏻🍻🍺🤙🏼
thanks konaman!
24.99 now.
Yes, sometimes they clearance them down to $18.99
Already out of stock online
Keep checking, they ran out of stock a few times already and keep coming back in stock as they ship more to Home Depot
Not likely that we’d drop it without the battery. THEN what?
It could go either way with or without battery. Not likely you would drop it from 10 feet either.
Picked 3 of these up today. Very noisy! Taking them back tomorrow.
Hard to find a quiet fan
yeah, it is. I prefer the great original hybrid that that has bigger blads and pushes great, quiet air on the low setting and will probably last longer that this smaller one. I see the big benefit of a clamp for a light, but the hybrid fan circulates air fine from many flan places or hanging from the hook.
I bought one, last year, in august, and it already, stopped working, didn't last a year!!!
All of ours are still working
3 yr warrantee
"Special buy, while supplies last" is marketing bullsquat. If it keeps selling, they'll keep pounding 'em out.
That said, I bought a couple ... and they're really quite nice!
Well said Looking a the current demands, I be they bring this on as a regular item.
@@jeffostroff Agreed. I mean, if it's really flying off the shelves at the rate it seems, they'd be pretty foolish not to do it.
nice only fans review😅
Don’t drip paint into the fan, unless you’re an artist.
I should try that!
nobody will drop the fan without battery
you might be right
****DROP TEST FAIL**** THERES NO BATTERY ON THE DROP TEST DONT YOU THINK IF YOUR USING IT ON A ROOF THE BATTERY WILL BE IN IT
Will be doing more testing going forward with batteries
Really? No putting it to your face? No hair action? No talking into it??? Hmmm, ok.
I need to do the voice alteration
Game changer? Maybe in the trash game!
We gotta send you one Chaka!
🤣😂🤣
Oh, CG. Never change.
$20? I saw this at Bunnings for well over $100
$100? Mus thave been a large on with misting
This is a sales pitch and NOT a review. You spent too much time telling us about features that almost 100% of all fans have (including corded). You seem to be trying to be a Vanna White just smiling and doing hand gestures to SELL instead of REVIEW. I can go to the manufacture's website if I want a sells pitch. I only wish i could give a 1000 dislikes.
well the manufacturer does not do the drop tests that I show. Believe me if there are things we don't like on a tool review we do sow it. Pretty hard to find things wrong on a $20 fan
your music is irritating!! I couldn't finish the video
Drama Queen. If you can't watch the video because of the music in it, the problem is not with the video. Negative Nellie
jeff #1 in tha game
Thanks Cody!
@@jeffostroff why u aint heart my comment tho
Wow, over eight minutes of video to cover what could be done in a minute or less.
Wow what a drama queen.. Over 8 minutes of whining because we show more detail in our tool review videos than other channels do. You also whine for nothing because did you not know you can watch the videos at double speed? Or you don't know how to use the little scrubber to skip ahead in the video? So in reality you're really blaming yourself for not properly knowing how to use UA-cam LOL!🤣
