I love when companies put this much effort into their packaging. I’ll certainly be trying some Man Bar Soap.
Same! I get mocked for that from the guys that say “idk care what it’s in, just get it to me.” The experience matters to me!
Great video! Always like seeing different products. I had an issue with spongey soap bars coming from 2 beard companies, so I'm always on the lookout for something new.
Yeah, I can't do the soft/spongey soap. Need it cured and solid!
Great video & review!
Thank Dan & keep it up!
Thanks buddy !
The winner is the cologne and their body wash. The spiced tobacco is the best one.
Awesome man!
Watched your review. Presently used Dr. Squatch. Use a wash cloth to wash the body. Found that Dr S. Did not lather well. Had to reload the wash cloth to finish the job. Used about 14 different bars/scents of Dr. S in the past year.
Bought a few Man Bar Soap bars. Lather to spare. I found my new bar soap 👍Thanks Dan C.
Rob
Awesome!! Can’t wait to hear what you think. This was much more solid than Doctor squatch for me
Hey! This looks good. Worth a try. Thanks Dan.😊
You bet!
Great review of these soaps Dan appreciate it!
My pleasure!
I use bar soap in the shower and once a week on my beard, it gets it light and fluffy afterwards 😂. My mum is curing some hemp soap at the moment which I’ve never used before so looking forward to try it.
That’s awesome man!
Hey Dan C another awesome video. I’m definitely intrigued by this soap; have to give it a try when my other supply runs out. Do love me some deep dark scents. Thanks for all you do! 👊🏻
Sounds like this is up your alley!
I have used a few of these big bars after snagging them at a department store at a mall near me. I really like these a lot, they're very good in my opinion. And yes, the price is really good too! My favorite is the peppered patchouli. Nice review Dan, I appreciate you my friend!
Thanks Miles!
I Gotta try this! I switched to bar soap a couple years ago and use mostly Duke Cannon. Love the soap from some beard companies but wish the bars were bigger. Pumped these come in 10oz!
Huge bars!!
I saw a couple boxes of these at TJ Maxx-type store and I almost bought it, it smelled amazing. Very distinct packaging and branding.
That’s cool to see in stores!
These soaps really remind me of Duke Cannon. I use Duke Cannon bar soaps every day myself and love them. I know that brand is by no means the best out there, but it seams to be a better value then Dr Squatch while being better quality then the other normal main stream brands of soap out there.
I've watched your reviews on their products from years ago. I'm waiting to get some of their beard oil to try out and see for myself how I feel about them before I tried any other brands.
Since it's been a few years now, any chance you could take a look at Duke Cannon again, not just their beard care products and body wash, but the bar soaps and other products they have. I just saw a new beard and face lotion that would be nice to get your input on as well as this beard "amplifier" which looked like a cream maybe but I can't find anyone reviewing it or talking about the proper time to use it so that would be nice to know more about. They also have some hand pump soap, face wash, deodorant, lip balm, and other odds and ends.
Thanks for this review, I plan on trying out this company when I'm getting low on soap.
I don’t have any plans to cover Duke cannon again, but I’ll write the idea down and see what I can do!
Cool! I've been using Man Bar Soap for a couple of years. Love the scents and feel. Cheers!
Whaaat!? That is so cool!!
Love it. Always down for a great soap bar!
Heck yeah!
Cool name for a soap. Have not heard of this company before, but will try them after hearing your review.
Love the name!
Thanks Dan. Sounds great and I'd love to try sometime, but it's on a long list of soaps and washes from beard companies I want to try first. Gotta at least try and support the beard companies first.
Totally get that!
Didn’t know you reviewed soap bars, Dan! I was gonna ask how it compares to Squatch (which is what I use), but I see you reviewed them too a while back. Seems like this is a better option in your experience. May have to check ‘em out. Thanks for the review 🙂.
Love me some bar soap!!
I've actually used their products multiple times before and I love their soaps. I actually first found them at a store called "world market". Their bars las a while too. :). it's great to hear that you love them as well :)
I haven't tried all their scents yet, but I was to eventually.
Oh very cool!!
I use a UK beard company's bar soap every day in the shower and i absolutely love it. I also like using pine tar soap occasionally in my beard. This company I've not heard of but they sound great. Love the packaging!
Awesome Jonny!
Cool review. I’ll give them a try.
Awesome!
Dang, they have it at men's wearhouse but don't care any at the store in my town. Will definitely try them, love my bar soap
Heck yeah!
I've got a bar soap from another company. It stays solid and not messy at all. Perhaps when I get low, I'll try a Man Bar soap providing I can find a light scent that isn't too "cologney." Thanks for bringing this company to my attention, Dan. I do like the packaging and different sizes.
You are welcome!! Thanks for watching
10 oz? In your words: GOOD-NISS! 😮
Right! And who would have thought us as kids would be so excited for soaps as adults lol
@@DanCBearded right 😂😂
I use Duke Cannon's Leaf and Leather and Gunsmoke soap bars. I have a tea tree soap bar that I picked up from Marshalls and then my wife just bought a African black soap with Shea butter and tea tree. They're all great! The scent on the Leaf and Leather is exquisite!
Awesome stuff David!
I've never heard of Man Bar Soap. I'm a bar soap user. I was using Dr. Squatch for awhile. Recently have just been grabbing soap off the shelves at target when I run out. Will have to give them a try.
Awesome!
Wow! That packaging is impressive!!
I loveee that!
Dan, check out Sudsy Bear and Little Seed Farm. The ingredients are way more natural. The Black Stuff and Shea Terra are also amazing. I've gone way down the soap rabbit hole and those are the best I've found.
Thanks for the recommendations!
Great review Dan! Now I’m curious… when testing all of this soap, where do you keep all of these little soap testers when drying? 😂😂 I’m picturing a nice dedicated shelf with like 15-20 soap savers lying out. Right next to a very professional oil/butter shelving dock. Am I even close?? 😂
I have a big like grated metal rack that keeps soap off any surface and surface is super small with the metal grates. I love it!!
@@DanCBearded that’s awesome! Definitely better than my single soap saver. 😂
Right now I’m using Duke Cannon and it was a huge brick of soap. It lathers well and I like it. Compare it to Man Bar Soap?
Pretty similar in my experience
Sounds pretty decent! I'll have to give them a try.
Absolutely!
Just got my order of bar soap can’t wait to use🎉🎉🎉
Awesome!
I use a company called bare bar great sented soap
HAVE AN AMAZING FRIDAY FAM👊🏽🧔🏻♂️👊🏽
You too Vato! This weekend is yoursss
Sounds like some really good soap. I hate all the soap sold in big box stores and am always looking for good soap. With the huge 10 oz bar I would have to cut it up into smaller sizes to use it.
Cutting it is a pro move!
Yes it is.cutting it in half is like getting 2 mini bars for $10 instead of paying $16 for 2 mini bars. Saves money.
This was one of my favorite barsoaps out there.
That’s so cool!
Where is that matching beard oils? 🤣 I'll give em a bit to catch up I suppose haha
I could see them going that route in the future!
I started using Goat’s Milk Soap on my beard and body for about 2.5 months. My beard has never felt better, and occasional spots of itchy skin are gone!
That is awesome Leo!
I've been a body wash guy 4 most of my adult life. But the last couple of years I've been using bar soap (mostly from beard companies). Never heard of man bar but might have 2 check em out 4 me & my sons
They I guess are in some stores too, which is cool
Honestly I wish companies would simplify the packaging and pass those savings onto the customer.
I love the packaging experience but also understand that’s a personal preference situation
Sounds like a good soap, I haven't heard of them before. Will check them out sometime. I've got a couple I really like I use daily, only once a week in beard for stripping wash.
Awesome Jake!
Bergamot you say?😱🔥
One of my favorites, you know that! 🔥
I dont order online so i may just look for it in Walmart but im really liking duke cannon
Awesome to hear!
They sound like an outstanding company.. but I will not use anything that has a fragrance/cologne smell to it.. which is really difficult to find these days.
What happened to the days when just smelling clean was the norm.. rather than people running around smelling like Leisure Suit Larry.
Am I showing my age yet? 😊
Hey, I hear you! Totally get it
I saw you at ayso
That’s me!
Haha I play there
Yeah, when your video started, I was like my small hands aren’t gonna be able to use that big bar soap. Luckily they have smaller bars anyway, I use bar soap seven days a week. On my beard, I use a beard bar soap every 2 weeks.
Awesome! I use bar soap on the pits and bits daily
Man✅ Soap✅
🧔♂️🧼✅
They sell them at tj-maxx and Marshalls all the time at a better price
That’s awesome to hear!
How long does the bar last for? I love using bar soap but I find they just get used up to quick
Forever!!! These are really “solid” bars
Yes, I use bar soap but I won’t buy it without knowing the ingredients. I don’t want any that use tallow.
Always check the ingredients, no doubt!
Couple weeks ago i got a dr squatch bar to hold me over until the barsoap from Mad Viking came in tbe mail.
Dr. squatch just melted before my eyes. The bar only lasted 5 or 6 days, really. Melted before my eyes. So far the mad viking is very strong bar. Has a lot of substance to it. Ive grown to love bar soap! Idk why. Ill give these a try
Yes, I do not think they are curing their soap properly
What I don't like about bar soaps is how messy they are in the shower/tub. And they slip from the holder when wet, which makes them more difficult to use than soap dispensers.
Duke canon has some good soaps and I love the tactical soap scrubber you can put your soap in and hang it
I use a soap saver try and there is no mess or worries here! I use bar soap (and body wash) daily
I've been cutting my big bar soaps in half or thirds, depending on the size. The one in use is much easier to handle and the unused portion never gets wet until needed.
Agreed, they can be messy. In my experience, soap storage is bad as implemented in bath/shower enclosures. Look for a place for a soap saver tray out of the shower stream. I slightly modified my routine so I could wet my loofah as I was getting wet, and wet the bar soap while stopping the water for my Navy Shower. The 10.5 oz Goat Milk Bar Soap I use for beard and body doesn’t show a lot of use after about 2.5 months, and my shower time is faster overall.
Also look at their home page. They show, but don’t sell, a rack hung over the shower head that can hold soap where it won’t get too wet.
Thanks for the video. Interesting product. Playing the devils advocate here but how do we know it uses the sustainable oil? Just take their word for it. There are a lot of companies that claim stuff. Is there a way to 100% know?
In this case I just went by what the company states. If that wasn’t true, they would be in some serious trouble. I wouldn’t think that would be worth the risk for them
@@DanCBearded yeah it’s hard to fact check claims companies make. The average consumer just has to have trust in the company. That’s why knowing the owners for these small batch beard oil companies is important because I trust what a lot of them say about their products.
I’m nut sure even the manufacturer can be 100% sure. They have to trust their supply chain, and even trusted brands can become untrustworthy.
very true! Luckily I have had some great conversations with this company and owner. I cannot know for sure, but I do not doubt them @@BeardedRN
Hi Dan, just a slightly tiring question: What is your favorite soap bar?
Ever? I would say cold start by beard octane
@Dan C Bearded
Interesting I will give it a test.
Now that's a brick of soap!
Right!?
Never heard of this company. I usually use bar soap. Mainly use small batch soap companies but alternate with body wash in the very cold weather. I have very dry skin and need more moisturizing type of wash when it’s very cold. I’ll keep this company on the radar when I start getting low on my soap supply.
Awesome!
Cracker Barrel has some
That is really cool!
Might have to check these guys out. Sassy's (😉) soaps were getting soft a while back and I switched up for a while. In the past year or so they have been sending fully cured soaps. Might have been a growth speed bump.
I could totally see that!
I just started seeing this brand in Cracker Barrel store.
Oh that’s cool! Haven’t been there in years
I will to look for Man Bar Soap the next time I'm at Cracker Barrel.
First!
The GOLD!
Second!
The SILVER!
