    Jim Browning can find these people. Identify them. Record their crime. Film them and tell you exactly where they are All from his computer. And he has a lot of friends doing the same.
    Yet our government does nothing. They could put pressure on the countries involved. Many receive tax payers money through foreign aid

    Have you noticed how many protests there are nowadays! People have had enough of the various polititians of all sides. The two horse race, every election we get false promises, its got tiresome. We need a full reform of all the country, its an us or them attitude and nobody gets listened to. Its time to reclaim our country and get decency,honesty,and safety back to what England and the uk was known for. This country is heading for disaster its all downhill, nowonder theres misery,poverty and discontentment in life. People cant make ends meet, housing isnt affordable, jobs arent paying a living wage, prices go up and up and more people are coming into this country getting a subsidised life that our own citizens are not getting, education, health services and opportunities are in dire need of overhauling and still promises, promises, and all it is, is talk and more talk.

      And then we have farage, basically telling people to stop complaining, like a shill.
      He’s like the Martin Lewis of politics..
      “Hey guys, I know the extortion has become ridiculous and unmanageable, but here’s a better way to do exactly as you’re told.. 🤠👍”

      I believe that the protests are a nuisance. People now protest everything amd post it online. Everyone sees how uncomfortable and disruptive protests are and have learnt to use it to bully their way through. You say people are waking up, I say people are ruining the goodness of timely protest. Every single thing is being protested now and that has to stop.

    HMRC is just a call center, ppl working there have no idea what they are doing. They sent me a letter that I owe the tax, I've argued over with several ppl as I knew I don't owe them anything, finally an actual officer phoned me as I said I wont pay a penny, and I'll keep calling. He has agreed they made a mistake! It took over 2 months to sort this out! Before that they sent me a letter that I owe £7k! For my sons nursery(I think some kind of benefit)!? Again, it took several months of phone calls and letters, for them to agree that they have wrong person here. The stress was unbelievable it was 2012, £7k its a lot of money today but it was even more at the time! Plus the time spent to sort this out, as any call to this idiots takes at least an hour from ur life.

      Yes, I’ve heard over the years that if HMRC makes a mistake, it is de facto that you are guilty until you can prove you are innocent.

    Meanwhile, the government insists that I provide my entire life history, my full family tree, and a blood sample for having the sheer audacity of having £20k for a house deposit.
    I get it, I'm not supposed to be able to afford a house, I am supposed to rent for the rest of my life.

    This country is making life so hard for people to do anything, no wonder over 50% of the country rely on benefits. The stress and anxiety the government are projecting onto well intentioned, law abiding citizens is truly extraordinary and no wonder more people are becoming sick and can’t work.

    If the system is to work and get paid in money and you get caught by fraud or scammed then this country should seriously help you out. I do feel bad for working people who get scammed. It’s not about a fool & his money, these scams can be properly legit.

    Victims of the Equitable Life scandal joined this protest because they're still owed 78% of the compensation that the Government accepts they are due, yet it is refusing to pay up. When the state does something wrong and accepts responsibility, surely it should put things right and provide proper redress. Something needs to change!

    The match highlighted the need for a statutory inquiry to get to the bottom of why these financial scandals keep on happening. 20+ years after Equitable Life there are dozens of other large scale financial losses that individuals incurred due to fraud/misconduct/maladministration. The institutions that are supposed to protect individuals from these issues are failing. That is why we need a statutory inquiry. We could also do with a Consumers Financial Protection Bureau as they have in the US

    Financial crime in the UK is rampant. It often is facilitated by professional companies that are regulated, but care more about their own financial interests than carrying out tasks they have given undertakings to do. The FCA and other regulatory authorities do not hold them to account. Instead a culture of victim blaming exists within the authorities which is designed to cover up their own incompetence.

  • @DavidCrowther-gd1ev
    @DavidCrowther-gd1ev 4 місяці тому

    There are systematic failings in the Government regulatory schemes. The FCA, FSCS, FOS to name just a few have failed in their role and these failures have led to countless scandals such as Equitable Life, The Post Office, Contaminated Blood, Woodford - the list could go on an on. A Statutory Public Enquiry is needed - NOW - to investigate these failures by public bodies to regulate financial services and so create a more reliable and trustworthy regulatory environment.
