My girlfriend laughed that they censored the part of the outfit the player sees the least of. She said they should’ve just left it alone if that’s all it was. She also commented that she appreciates the more modest options which give players the choice. Her least favorite outfit isn’t the Holiday Bunny… it’s the Bear costume. The long legs on the stuffed bear bother her. She’s fine with me running around in a bikini or as a bunny but she won’t tolerate me to running around as a creepy bear 🤣

I'm glad I was born around the early 2000's with games like Bloody Roar, Rumble Roses, GTA, Soul Calibur, Saints Row & Mortal Kombat (before both of them turned pussifed) Hell, even early the 2010's with games like Shank, Lollipop Chainsaw, Girlfight, Remember Me, Splatterhouse with their unapologetic attitude that makes them great.
I don't feel bad for any of these "journalists" for being exposed or sites being shut down when we seen what they've cheered for & games they've boo'd & shamed.
Modern Sony is like what Nintendo used to be from 90s to 10s. Censorship not only at first party titles like fire emblem, paper mario, xeno. Third party titles were censored too and never sell well. Today, Sony is the kiddy platform that shouldn’t ever be a thing nor does Nintendo as the adult platform that never meant to be.
Those games were never OK for Western gaming journalists.
It really makes you think how long these "journalists" been gaming or if at all, seeing how they'll find something problematic with games from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s.
If a game doesn't share the same far left progressive ideologies as them, they'll find something to go after and try to convince everyone said game is not suitable for modern day standards, which usually means an Eastern game or something like say Atomic Heart or Hogwarts Legacy gets unfair coverage.

I think the reaction to Stellar Blade's censorship and the petition shows a lot of people are waking up and letting their voices be heard, which is great because we need more people to push back against wokeness and take our hobbies back.
Once Stellar Blade is on PC, then the real uniforms will come in mods.

Very true, which is why we see so many bland, forgettable, and insufferable characters in modern gaming, while the games media tries to prop up these unremarkable characters.
Seeing Juliet Starling for the very first time as a young man, more so than I am (😂), she not only got my attention as she did other young men and boys, especially during her morning stretch, but she reminded me of a few girls I knew during my Secondary years in High School, which is appropriate, considering she's a high school student. 😂

There's indeed a SEVERE and IRRITATTING double standard with how fan service and depictions of "eye candies" are perceived. Men are reduced to nothing more than objects of desires, whilst the "women" take on their roles. It's a double standard and also a blatant disdain for men.
Men and women can NEVER be "equals", because there's so many factors that work against women that benefits men, and vice versa. Women can't do what men do, and likewise men can't do EVERYTHING inside and outside their homes. They'd fall apart with that much work, you know? It's why women are the support, something they see as "bad", so they take on the positions of men, like that's supposed to be "empowering" to young girls. 😂
It's also deemed "bad" for boys to be empowered by manly men who teach them how to love, cherish, respect, and stand up for themselves as future men.
This is the very definition of double standard and discrimination. It's infected the gaming industry, hence the collapse of many studios who'll willfully continue to do so, by not bothering to recognize what's wrong with said gaming industry.

I don't blame you for waiting until Stellar Blade gets uncensored, it was annoying having to play it with the internet turned off in order to play it uncensored, because it shouldn't have been censored to begin with.
We really need more characters like Juliet Sterling, not just to combat censorship but to also show woke developers and journalists the games we want to see in the industry.

Liars and fakers should be called out for deceiving others. It's NO "victory" for us, my man, as Sony still got their ways. It's like if Mary Shelley remained silent on and accepted her publisher's demands for HER book, Frankenstein, to have her husband's name as the "author", when in truth it was, again, HER book and not his. With her husband's support, she was able to ensure her name was recognized. Kim should've pushed back, instead of being Sony's puppet.
So yeah, I REFUSE to be "excited" for anything, until victory IS ours, but this is no "victory" and TBH, Stellar Blade isn't worth me paying a dime over, not with all the censoring and broken promises.

Stellar Blade was the first game that made me consider to buy a PS5. But the censorship has disappointed me, so I won't buy a PS5, nor will I buy any more games for my PS4. I vote with my wallet.

You could play it uncensored by not downloading the day one patch by turning the internet connect off in the settings on PS5, that's what I did.
However I can understand if you or anyone refuses to play at all, the last minute censorship was disappointing to find out and ridiculous it hasn't been reconciled yet, but Stellar Blade will be coming to PC so there should be ways to play it uncensored there.

Well back in the day I used to like GameSpot and IGN but that was before I found out about Gamergate and all that mess . As for Stellar Blade Sony not only damage one game but also Helldivers 2 and Ghost of Tsushima by forcing psn subscriptions to the playerbase plus I wont be surprised game journalists be praising Assasins Creed shadows while they where busy crapping on Stellar blade
I use to like them too but noticed the patterns of their bad takes, double standards, agendas, shilling, and woke mind virus seeping through.

I'm so sick of cleavage being censored in eastern games with female video game characters coming to the west. 10 years were games like Dead Or Alive was losing it's sex appeal and fan service, and we can't even get those game in the west any more because the developers are not going to censor the game i say good for them. Although that also sucks because westerns will never get another uncensored Dead Or Alive game whether it's the volleyball or fighting game disturbed to the west ever again.
DOA6 was killed because of the backlash by gamers at the very same tactic DLC being too much to pay. DOAX3 never came out to the west because of the worst timing at cancel culture being born.

Fans didn't like how expensive it was for the additional outfits as well as the censorship to outfits designs that was in previous games. Team Ninja also didn't want to censor their game, so they decided not to distribute it to the west as well as cancel culture was high, and many progressive woke feminist tried cancelling the game. All these things didn't help Dead Or Alive whatsoever.
Activists, feminists, and beta males ruined fun in video games, now everything has to align with their world views or else get deemed offensive or out of touch with current day.

Exactly, there's a lot of women who like seeing sexy characters in all forms of media, but it's always a group of women who look ana act a certain way that find sexy female characters problematic.
@@RevenantRemnant I don't know about women who are against sexuality, sensuality and eroticism in games all looking a certain way but there will always be groups of people with vastly different views on what is and isn't appropriate for media consumption. The problem is one That group of people force the censorship they want onto people who don't believe in feel the same way.
I love sexy characters in games. Back in the day I used to collect bizarre Japanese PS2 games because they had sexual content that I know would never come to America. Or if they did they would be highly censored.
I think all that arousing stuff is great and I'm glad there are still developers creating that kind of content.
Likewise I don't see anything wrong with people who want representation of different more common real world bodies and faces. I think it's great to see character models of heavy women or scrawny men and all the ethnicities of the rainbow.
It would be so weird and wrong if we just had representation of sexy stimulating characters or representation of less curvy in shape body types in games.

Honestly I don't think it has that much of an impact because there are still alluring outfits in the game while also still being violent but above all the game still has its characters and story that are still in line with the vision of the developers which works in tandem with her default design that is unchanged which tells a story about a android that has to learn about humanity despite being foreign to it and the game still keeps these elements while the other outfits are alternates that don't feel like they add anything to the concept of her character design.
I would argue that many games that made sex appeal the focus of the game with any weight behind it would end up creating underwhelming characters and stories especially something like Dead or Alive which doesn't have the strongest character designs in fighting games in comparison to Tekken, Guilty Gear, or Street Fighter due to the designs not trying to tell a story or has a lack of personality behind due to the focus on sultry outfits instead of interesting characters which is the most important part of a character in video games which is why characters like Nier, Chun Li, and Bayonetta have stood the test of time while the main girl in Lollipop Rainbow and many of the Dead or Alive characters haven't been as iconic; personality is just as important as character design and having an unlikable character can be just as detrimental such as many female characters in Tekken 7 like Lucky Chloe, Katarina, and Jozie.
I think censorship is a double edged sword because there are times that it can remove the impact from a game like Dragon Ball Fusions for the 3ds censoring swords but it can also tone down elements that are unnecessary such as Chun Li's select screen animation that felt over the top for a character that it didn't fit with or removing blood from Shadow The Hedgehog game.
I don't mind if this stuff is in games especially if it fits the character but I feel like the petition doesn't consider that Eve's character being in tact and still being pretty while her developing more in a sequel but I think too much attention is being put on how much skin is showing and not enough on her character which the majority of audiences care about in the end along with the gameplay.
Character design is just as important as how characters are written, in a time where there's a lot of games with "realistic" characters in terms of design and writing, having a game like Stellar Blade that captured a lot of people's attention based off of character designs and fun combat says a lot.
Characters showing a lot of skin is perfectly fine, the argument of showing skin but no depth to a character rarely if ever gets brought up when it's a male character, but not every game is made with the intention of having a deep protagonist, a lot of times the gameplay is what's the main focus.
Comparing Dead or Alive's character designs to games like Tekken or Guilty Gear doesn't work because Tekken's universe and presentation is so different to DoA's, same with Guilty gear, which is a worse comparison sine it has a completely different art style an over the top presentation, and same goes for Street Fighter, a better comparison would be Virtue Fighter.
Censorship is not justifiable, there's an ESRB rating system for a reason, most of the time Western studios don't have to tone down violence, gore, or sexually explicit content, just take the examples I mentioned in the video, or just look at Mortal Kombat, then ask why Eastern games have to censor their games and why journalists and consumers/potential consumers are defending censorship but have no issue with the explicit content presented in Western games, it's all had a impact on games, especially modern games.
@@RevenantRemnant I would say that there is a healthy mix of realistic and exaggerated characters in games now such as multiple fighting games, shooters, action games, and RPGs.
I would say that it comes down to the character itself and if it fits and there are examples where people critiqued male characters for being shirtless without reason such as characters like Yone, Kayn, Yasuo, and of male characters for league of legends or male characters being critiqued for being one dimensional like Rufus from Street Fighter, Paul and Law from Tekken, the main character from Hatred, Armstrong from Metal Gear Rising etc, and many characters don't have to be extremely complex but they should still have something interesting about them beneath the surface instead of them being solely defined by their concept of either sex appeal or representation which can make the feel one note and forgettable; a good example of a simple character that also has a good story is Ryu from Street Fighter because on the surface he is a character who wants to fight strong opponents and his outfit reflects that but if you look deeper, he is a character that trying to find the meaning of strength and how to be victorious in a fight due to the inner struggle he has with a dark power inside of him trying to tempt him at any turn.
I would say that it works to compare them because both Tekken and DOA have a more semi realistic style with exaggerated characters but it all comes down to the character to the visual story telling with the characters and not much of the artstyle but I would even say that character designs in Virtua Fighter have more visual story telling and personality in comparison to DOA such as Jack Bryant being pushed as a kickboxer and a biker and the female characters also having there fighting styles and profession show through there design while DOA has outfits that don't feel unique for each character and doesn't give a look a who the character is which is a critique that many fighting game players have made throughout the years.
I would say that censorship is only harmful when it removes core elements from a character, story, or gameplay that makes the end product a weaker game as a whole but I feel that Steller Blade was not impacted much because her core character was untouched and the gameplay is still a highly praised element while still having skimpy outfits in the game that show skin.
@@RevenantRemnant I also forgot to mention that there were provocative male outfits in Street Fighter 5 but many of them were criticized due to how silly and weird they looked on the characters such as Cody's outfit that references Haggar, Ed's Bison outfit, Alex's Firefighter outfit and etc.

There's a trans character, Etermity, which was shown in the video, and in the character creator, there's no male or female selection, instead there's body type A and B selection, so it's pretty clear Street Fighter 6 is indeed woke.
